  1. Perfectly possible. That's why they make electronic tuners. My point is there is the correct way to play gracenotes, doublings, half doublings, birls and taorluath's, etc. Unless you play the bagpipes you will never even know if they're missing from the song or if they're played correctly.
  2. The nice thing about bagpipes is most people don't know if you're good or not. You can play just about anything, no matter how poorly and people who like bagpipes love it.
  3. She's nice enough but not anyone you necessarily want to see. I actually met her once at church and she didn't remember me. I wanted to bend over, drop my pants and say "maybe you recognize me now?" And thanks. It's hell when all your parts start wearing out.
  4. I've had 10 exams the passed 4 years. Since last year, my PSA jumped two full points to 8.2. Additional blood work said 50% chance of cancer. Urologist said she I was passed her level of expertise (and I think her interest) but she started talking to me about cancer treatments. She referred me to UTSW Dallas and a world class urologist. He scheduled an MRI fusion biopsy. The MRI scared me more than cancer. Luckily Valium is a hell of a drug and I didn't give a rip even though I was fully inside the machine with a probe stuck up my butt, hitting my tonsils. Luckily everything was clear and no lesions, so no biopsy. Now I'm on the twice a year plan but no cancer. Since then I have talked to several people who have high numbers but refuse to get checked. They seem to be more scared of knowing they have cancer than dying from it. If you have high numbers, get checked. It's one of the easiest cured if caught early. And as my urologist told me, you can still get it up even after surgery. Or in her exact words " worst case scenario we can put a pump in, you can keep it up as long as you want and do anything you like with it".
  5. Unpossible. I don't think that ever happens.
  6. And they left off the SEC logo.
  7. Better hurry. These won't last long. https://needthisquilt.com/product/thq062105-tama-quilt-blanket/
  8. I played bagpipes at a graveside funeral today. When we were going over the order of service the funeral director told the preacher "his daughter wants to play her two songs after she speaks". So after she talks about her father, she walks to the end of the coffin she raises a Hook'em and "The Eyes of Texas" starts playing. I did in return and we both sang. Then they played "Texas Fight". Meaningless and random, but it made me laugh.
  9. I've had exams out the wazoo. 3 biopsies and the 1st one put me in the hospital because of an infection. I had a fusion targeted biopsy and got stuck 36 times. It's a little unnerving when blood comes out of your pecker when you try to pee. On a funnier note, both of my urologist have been women. When I went to my first one, she had me bend over and spread 'em. She said "now comes the unpleasant part." I turned and looked at her and said "I'm pretty sure the unpleasant part is the view you have."

  11. Yeah. And some I've seen are even more extreme. To each their own, and it seems to be in style. I'm not a fan.
  12. No. I understand a full brim hat. I can't really find a good pic online. Maybe it's just a west Texas thing. It's like they take a wide brimmed western hat and bend the sides up at a 90 degree angle, where the side edges are as tall as the crown.
  13. Na. I'm not picking on the King. I'm talking about the cowboy hats that look like an airfoil on a sprint car. I'll try to find a pic.
  14. I've close to 30 hats. Stetsons,Resistol's, Cavanaugh's, Akubra's, Baileys and Montecristi's from Panama. Fedora's, cattleman's, trilby's, outback, boaters, homburgs and even a couple of sombrero's. I've even got 3 that are 60+ years old and 1 close to 90.And one John Deere gimme cap. You wear your hats to show them off. I'll wear them inside for a few minutes, but always take them off when we sit down at a restaurant or enter a guests house. But I have another question concerning cowboy hats. When the hell did they dictate that they have to be as big as Sally Field's habit from the Flying Nun or the wings off a sprint car?
  15. He didn't say there was anything bad about him or his character. He is loved by many people in Dallas, especially his players. My relatives gripe is about his recruiting players to Duncanville. He said that it's not uncommon (using very lax and legal rules surrounding residency) to cherry pick and recruit some of the best players out of DISD to play for him in Duncanville.
  16. I had a relative that was at a coaches clinic in Jerry World that day. He said the Duncanville coach still had the same look on his face 45 minutes after the game. I felt sorry for their him, but my relative said it was karma. According to him a lot of coaches weren't that upset to see him lose.
  17. Suck it up. It's football. And do you not remember this game? Texas was supposed to lose by eleventy milllion. Nebraska was a juggernaut back then.
  18. ESPN don't know chit. You want to screw OU? Win out. The path to the championship for UT is not in their control. But the ability to keep OU out is.
  19. Hell yeah TD! And I've yet to hear the god-awful"boomer sooner" played.
  20. This is for 50+ years of hating OU.
  21. My orange KoolAid has a bit of a wang to it. And it's not good.
  22. Richard Nixon waved at me from his bullet proof car in a motorcade.
