  1. The one in Tyler still looks like it’s open when I drive but there. Bought a Carver C-1 preamp, M500t amp and Denon DCD-1500II CD player there a few years later before my jr year of college. Still have the amp and preamp but they’ve been boxed up for years.
  2. We’re been clearing out my parents attic of 45 years worth of junk. Probably should start a separate thread of Shit I found in my parents attic but I digress. I did pull out on box labeled David’s Momentos that had all kinds paper and trinkets from my dresser and desk as a kid. Here’s a receipt I pulled out of one folder for J. Geils Band’s Freeze Frame cassette. 50/50 chance I have that cassette packed away in a closet or my attic for my kids to throw out one day. Life is a circle.
  3. Something, something, hot and juicy.
  4. Nice bird. You made a comment on the carry thread about a semi auto 44. Ruger made the bolt 77/44 and a 10/44 semiauto around the same Buddy had the semi auto and 6 rounds of 44 mag down range in a short time is pretty awesome.
  5. Growler Jams is a great ytube channel.
  6. Surly be slippin, All this safety talk and not a single

    Kayaking

https://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/boat/paddlingtrails/ TPWD paddling trail website covers a lot of the info and would be a great place to start. It will cover canoe/kayak launches that will keep you from launching down the middle of a boat ramp (please don’t do this)
  8. You mean to tell me you got a manual on how to dig a hole?
  9. Y’all are cleaning stuff in your house? I thought you were supposed to just move and get new stuff when your old shit got dirty - Surly 1%
  10. That was the plan but Discount won’t plug a tire in the sidewall or first/curved part of the tread. Got a “free” replacement on that one and decided to go ahead and get 3 more. If I waited another 3-5 months till they where fully worn out I would end up paying the $1750 or more. Here the difference in tread taken at the same angle as the screw pic. Big difference in tread depth.
  11. Noticed a construction screw head melded into my truck tire Sunday night after coming back from the ranch. Was hoping to get another 7-10k out of this set but just paid $1380 at Discount for 3 new KO2s and a new cert for the replacement. Paid $1302 for the last full set in June ‘21. Got 43k out of them so not too bad but was hoping for a few more miles before dropping the cash on a new set.
  12. Double barreled 10-22. Awesome.
  13. We spend the night couple of times at the Kwahadi Museum of the American Indian on our way to Philmont. Lots of artifacts in the museum and if they have a dance performance scheduled it is pretty good.
  14. We have 8 tents in the family that get used in a regular rotation according to the type of camping we are doing. None of them are canvas. I have camped in canvas tents like posted above at 4 or 5 summer camps with the scouts. Hot, musty and not good at keeping out mosquitos. Would only buy one if setting up long term elk camp in the mountains. In Texas, nope, no way.
  15. I have a Shooting Chrony that is 20+ years old. Still worked last time I used it but the company is out of business now so that doesn’t help you much. Buying new I might try one of the Pact models if I didn’t decide to go 1%er with a LabRadar. That or the Magneto speed are the tits. Looking online ai see Magneto has a less expensive model. I would probably try that unless it has a bunch of bad reviews.
  16. Steven and Pruitt (RIP) would be proud.
  17. If you can pay taxes on the land, cover feed and whatever equipment costs you have, you’re doing good. If you can make a couple hundred bucks or so per calf even better. Making a full living raising cattle? Better have a thousand or so acres of really good pasture with lots of water that’s paid for and and access to some really cheap labor.
  18. Got this in an email from the TAMU Agrilife extension. The survey covers the economic impact of a Texas whitetail deer hunting and the effect CWD could have in state economy. Good Morning Texas Hunters, We have had an awesome response to the white-tailed deer survey. If you have not taken the survey, we would really appreciate your help. This is an important topic, and I want to make sure you're included in the discussion. My contact information is in the survey if you have any questions or comments. Also, don't forget to enter your email at the last question of the survey for your chance to win a Yeti Hopper Flip 18 Soft Cooler. Thank you! 19. You can use a spool gun with a regular DC Mig welder and 100% argon gas to weld al but it isn’t as nice as using an AC tig machine. Welding Al takes a lot of power smaller household Mig machines may have a problem with even 3/16 Al angle and plate.
  20. 1018 cold rolled round bar is 80k material and will be fine in that application. No need for any higher $$ alloy material.
  21. Close enough to a cover so I’m gonna put it here …
