  1. If I was a Russian who surrendered inside Russia, I would very fervently pray that I would not be exchanged. I would imagine that the best possible outcome would be to be sent back into one of the meat waves, where there is at least a slim chance of survival. More likely a bullet to the G-2 unit right after the happy homecoming pictures are taken.
  2. Of course they'll trot those out for Notre Dame, because black uniforms on August 31 is perfectly on brand for aggy.
  3. My wife had a biopsies done on a couple of spots on her neck and shoulder last week. She got the results back today letting her know that there were no problems with either. It got me to thinking that Arnold Schwarzenegger could make some extra coin by selling a recording that dermatologists could use in such cases: "Congratulations! It's not a toomah!"
  4. I may get one of these for my oldest younger brother. He doesn't seem to know that he's alive unless he's bruised, broken, or bleeding (usually all three at once) somewhere.
  5. How are you doing today? Head injuries with loss of consciousness are not to be messed with. If you haven't seen a doctor, you need to do so today. I had a coworker who took a fall (at home) and knocked the hell out of his head. He lost consciousness for about the same amount of time as you, then went about his business. Three days later he was in the hospital getting about a pint of fluid drained from his skull. It damn near killed him, and he still has some tics and twitches, about 20 years later. Don't screw around with your noggin, dude.
  6. Trump wasn't going to pardon them. If he got elected, they are no longer useful to him. Maybe if they rustled up a bunch of money one or two could buy a pardon, but that's the only way.
  7. I want to see Walz and JV debate, for JV to bring up the "stollen valor" shit, and for Walz to respond, "Shut up, corporal!" in his best Sergeant Major voice.
  8. I have got to get me some of THAT! When will either of them next be in Texas? I want to be there for it.
  9. They think that California has a Lemon Law for kids? Dumbasses.
  10. Did VY ever acquire nachos during a play? Advantage aggy!
  11. The whole "Is she black or is she Indian?" stuff reminded me of an awesome takedown I got to witness almost 40 years ago. I was working in deep, deep East Texas, The Land That Time Forgot, when two rednecks in the crew started discussing mixed marriage and bloodlines. One made the argument that even one drop of black blood made one black, no matter how many white ancestors one has. The black member of the crew chuckled about it, irritating the rednecks. One asked him what was so funny, and he answered that he was just amazed at how much more powerful black blood is than white blood, if one drop of black blood negated all of the white blood. I didn't think that those to could get any whiter, but they did. Even their necks turned white. I laughed, which was also not appreciated. They didn't discuss such sensitive topics in front of the rest of the crew anymore.
  12. You'll need Marines to put down mutinies and board the target ships. I'll volunteer for that.
  13. "If you love what you do, be careful not to leave stains."
  14. That turret looks like it shattered instead of just being launched. The hole you see while it's flipping around is much larger than either of the hatches on Russian turrets. That was quite an explosion. The crew probably didn't even know that it happened.
  15. When I read Putin's statement I thought it was kind of weird that he ended with Maduro always being welcome in Russia. Seems to me Putin may have had information that Maduro would need that refuge, and right soon.
  16. He looks like he's fixing to play Tequila on the jukebox and dance on the bar, except not nearly as cool as Pee Wee.
  17. I've thought before that a squadron of P-51s or Corsairs would be right handy to intercept drones. Better yet, a squadron of A-1 Skyraiders. Those things had loiter times measured in days, not hours. (Ok, slight exaggeration. Still...)
  18. Hmm. Every time that the Democratic candidate gets some positive press or momentum we are graced with some "both sides!" posts. No, it's just coincidence.
  19. Didn't you know that Schloss threw the last two games to screw aggy on his way out the door at the request of the evil CDC and Texas? In fact, the team did so well in spite of that no talent hack, not because of him. It is only wild coincidence that 3/4 of aggy's wins at Omaha, and their only appearance in the final series, came under his coaching. Schloss had nothing to do with it. Texags said so.
  20. Wait! There's wanted anal leakage?!
  21. Every woman I know says that Pete's big head gives them the boo-boo geebies. No way in hell he's getting laid, even if they're drunk.
  22. Great thread to have. On KBTX news last night they ran a story about a woman in Brazos County who is challenging hundreds of voter registrations at the county voting office. While almost all of the challenges are thrown out, some are not, and I bet that other voting officials aren't being as conscientious about it. I suggest that everyone check their voter registration status at https://www.texas.gov/living-in-texas/texas-voter-registration/ to make sure that they haven't been improperly removed from the voter rolls. Get your family and friends to check, too.
  23. I used to work with an aggy engineer who had seats in that end zone. He left before the start of the first game because they were swaying dangerously just from the crowd entering and moving to their seats. He told us later that he reviewed the plans for the reinforcement and didn't believe that the planned improvements would adequately address the problem. He refuses to sit in or near that section. He is aggy, but I trust his judgment on structural engineering matters. Operational matters, well that's a very different discussion, but he knows structures and construction.
  24. My dad tells me that this was my first in-person football game. I was 6 months old, so I don't remember this play, but I was there.
