  1. Thank you for an actual response. I think you're being willfully ignorant about Putin's influence in the country and why Russia wanted desperately for Trump to be President. But we'll see. Also, we both know what would actually put a real dent in illegal crossings: real, significant penalties to any company caught employing an illegal citizen. Why do you think it is that the GOP would never, ever vote for something like that?
  2. Unless they buy up a bunch of blatant propaganda outlets, not sure how it changes.
  3. Care to let me know which fascist shit he says that I should take seriously? Thanks. It gets really confusing who is allowed to properly parse his words.
  4. For sure. I doubt it would have made a difference--and certainly a tight rope to walk--but she should have tried harder.
  5. I obviously meant under the circumstances. What else could have have done that she didn't in 4 months? If anyone says, "Go on Rogan," so help me God.
  6. Well, not everyone. Not even close. But yes, most. And we will have a new President in 2028. Between now and then, Ukraine will almost certainly be abandoned. Russia will regain their strength and be more meddlesome than ever. Harlan and Koch will pay off Thomas and Alito to retire early so evangelical Trump appointees can make up 5 of 9 SC seats for a generation. I'll let you decide what that means for LGBTQ rights. So, not the end of the world. But pretty damn shitty. Do you think he'll actually make an attempt at mass deportation, or are those just empty campaign promises?
  7. I meant she ran about as good of a campaign as she could have given the circumstances. She didn't do enough to distance herself from Biden, but I'm not sure she ever could have. No, I do not believe she would have won a normal, open primary. But that wasn't an option.
  8. Oh, I get it. But perception is reality.
  9. For what? I wanted Joe to run in 2022 touting the incumbency advantage. I was wrong. Kamala ran a great campaign, but she was in a really tough spot.
  10. I mean...is he wrong? Joe announcers he's a one term president in 2022, and candidates have two full years to distinguish themselves. Not that Kamala was a bad candidate...she just wasn't able to distance herself as part of a wildly unpopular administration.
  11. I didn't call anyone a racist. Dumb--or at least low information--maybe. There's a reason that uneducated voters are Trump's bread and butter. But I know plenty of smart people who voted for Trump, almost exclusively for wallet issues. This is what I said:
  12. How long do you think the GOP waits to start bragging about the crazy high stock market and low unemployment? Do they wait until inauguration, or just start claiming tomorrow that it's how it is because everyone knew Trump was winning?
  13. Bro. You were right to be out hours ago.
  14. I do like how you completely ignore all the good, rational points (that you have no real rebuttal for), so you can focus on the posts where someone says a mean thing to you.
  15. Being a woman of color certainly didn't help. But it was always going to be an uphill battle. A hugely unpopular incumbent administration in what most perceive as a poor economy, fair or not.
  16. Agreed. But some of us also care about others who aren't us. I don't blame people for voting selfishly--we all do to some extent--but a whole lot of people just voted for some mythical eradication of inflation/taxes at the expense of a whole fuck load of vulnerable people.
  17. Trump himself will be mostly harmless. He'll be on the golf course. Like others said, it'll be those around him. Absolutely no one who isn't 100% loyal will be appointed to any position. Koch and Crow will pay off Thomas and Alito to step down in 2027 to make sure they keep the SC majority for a generation.
  18. That said, I wasn't huge on Walz--thought the campaign needed a brilliant orator (Buttigieg or Shapiro)--but can't put this shit on the VP pick.
  19. Fuck. That. Not having to waste a rare family restaurant outing at Chili's is about the only good thing about tonight. (Yes, I know it was my idea to go on Wednesday if Harris won)
  20. Tim Walz losing his own home county. Jesus Christ.
  21. There's virtually no ability to stop them.
  22. It is absolutely over without PA.
  23. Welp, something tells me I'll be reminded of this post a few times tomorrow. Deservedly so. I thought the EC would be close, but never for a second thought that the popular vote was in any doubt. Wow.
