  1. Elderly Woman Fatally Attacked by Cocaine-Infused Pit Bulls: Lawsuit March 16, 2025 by David Jones In a distressing event in Ohio, a 73-year-old woman lost her life after being brutally attacked by her neighbor’s pit bulls, which were later found to have cocaine in their system, according to a lawsuit. JoAnn Echelbarger was attending to her garden in the shared spaces of her Ashton condominium in October when the dogs, Echo and Apollo, launched their assault. Stanley Echelbarger, JoAnn’s husband, who is suffering from dementia and is confined to a wheelchair, could only witness the horrifying scene as his wife was savagely attacked for several minutes. The lawsuit claims that one of the dogs continued the attack even after police officers fired shots to stop the assault. Earlene Romine, Echelbarger’s daughter, shared her grief and shock over the horrific incident. She expressed her disbelief at the tragic circumstances of her mother’s death, stating that no one should have to endure such a brutal attack. Investigations following the incident revealed that both dogs had cocaine in their systems. The dogs’ owners, Adam Withers and his mother, Susan, were convicted of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Echelbarger’s death last month, according to court records. Bill Rogers, the victim’s son, expressed his anger towards the dog owners, questioning their responsibility in his mother’s death. The family has initiated a lawsuit against the dog owners, the condominium association, and the county dog warden, accusing them of negligence and overlooking several warning signs about the dogs’ behavior. The lawsuit also refers to an incident that took place just weeks before the fatal attack. Police body camera footage revealed officers responding to reports that Echo and Apollo had consumed Adam Withers’ cocaine. The lawsuit alleges that the dog warden was unresponsive to the situation. Despite the Withers’ failure to comply with an order to remove the dogs from the condominium, the pit bulls were allowed to stay. The lawsuit also accuses Adam Withers of mocking building management through social media posts. The family is seeking more than $25,000 in compensatory damages and punitive damages through a wrongful death suit. Rex Elliot, the family’s attorney, stated that they are seeking justice and emphasized that local authorities had a duty to remove the dogs from the premises.

  8. Groovy, but specifically we are using words like peaceful protests when most people know damn well that protests were a mixed bag. Harrassment of Jews on and off campuses and a need for escorts and increased police protection were necessary in many to most instances. And even with this increased protection we saw a 150% increase in incidences year over year.
  9. Nothing in that article states FDA guidelines on safety, the levels of heavy metals and toxins found, and whether the levels were above or below industry standards and FDA standards. And certainly the article doesn’t state that the cookies killed people. I would lean more towards a money grab than a consumer risk at this point. And I’ll continue eating the cookies.
  10. Feelings? ADL’s threat figures included more than 150 incidents of physical assault, more than 1,840 acts of vandalism and more than 8,000 antisemitic incidents involving verbal or written harassment. The organization noted at least 1,200 antisemitic incidents occurred on US college campuses over the past year, representing a 500% spike from the previous year’s data in the same category. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2024/10/06/us/anti-jewish-threats-us-adl

  14. I have FirstNet with ATT and have a problem with SMS Text messaging. If I text and it says iMessage, the text sends fine. If it says SMS Text Messaging. I get an error where it adds a 1 before the number and says that it is an invalid number. If you look at the contact itself, there is no 1 before the number. Any clues?

  19. I don't know why your background confuses me, but it always does. You were married and have kids and it must have been with her where your wife said something like she always knew she was a lesbian. But then you got divorced and remarried? You can PM me, and it isn't so important, but I have a heard time keeping things straight. It seems like it all happened around Covid. And just to keep things on topic, I know some very smart doctors who were anti-vax for Covid. I couldn't understand it because scientifically, mRNA vaccines should be safer than the standard vaccines. mRNA doesn't enter the nucleus and can't intercalate into DNA. Now, granted there is a lot unknown, but that is the way things stand as of today. And it codes for a single protein, the spike protein. Meanwhile, a standard vaccine is an extremely large amalgamation of proteins that create thousands of antibodies that could attack intracellular proteins as well as microbial proteins. That seems much more dangerous to me.
