  1. Cancelled today. Best offer was $6.06 per month for 12 months. We'll see if I get any other offers via email.
  2. I was in the north end behind the goal. Kids were going nuts about this guy the whole time - much more so than for the soccer players. There was even a middle school aged pitch invader that ran out there looking for the Speed fella.
  3. Mimsy's Craft Barbecue might also be an option for you. Double check days and hours of operation.
  4. My mind associates this song, played a little faster, with a theme song from the 70s or early 80s. I've searched and it is not, but there is something close out there.

Same on android. Just guessing, but I think they want you to press the preview link.

New center back with a deal through 2028 and an option for 2029. He'll take an international slot and a senior roster spot next year, so someone has to go. I'm guessing Jader Obrian. Austin is going to be intimidating as hell with a Ukrainian and a Serbian on the back line.
  7. I'm here to feign outrage over whatever or whoever is being outrageous. Or on behalf of the other side.
  8. Some people think its funny, but its really green and runny . . .
  9. Same. I've wanted to give them a try since 2023, but it's almost impossible with their schedule. I sampled their barbecue at the Troubadour Festival a few years back, but that doesn't really count.

I went to the Skills Challenge on Tuesday. Pretty corny, but also fun. Sat behind the goal on the North End where three of the five events took place.
  11. I can't keep up with him. He was at a joint in Seguin recently after leaving Brotherton's. I'd like to see that. Georgetown is a barbecue desert - even the bad places have closed. Currently the best barbecue in Georgetown is probably True Texas Barbecue at HEB.
  12. Mine did. First day of senior English - the teacher made them write their college essay.
  13. The Texas school of liberal arts just recently added a BS in Economics which is more math focused and is available for CAP students.
  14. My daughter did the CAP at UTSA. All three of her roommates were on the same program. She lived with two out of the three in Austin for the remainder of their schooling and stayed friends with the other. All four graduated from Texas in May.
  15. Revisionist history
  16. Mark Knopfler - 75 Carlos Santana - 78 Jimmy Vaughan - 74 Billy Gibbons - 75 Buddy Guy - 88
  17. Mr. Vernon, Mr. Rooney, and Biff in that order. How did Daniel LaRusso even get on the list.
  18. Are they in a sequel? They look as methy as before.
  19. State bird of Oklahoma. To keep it relevant. OU and Gout sucks!
  20. Found it. I listen to SRV all the time. In fact, my ringtone and alarm is Pride and Joy. Watching him play takes all of the songs to another level. He was so bad ass.
  21. One of my first albums. Only saw him once when he and Elton did the dualing pianos tour. Will be watching the doc when the wife returns from Hawaii.
  22. I'm going to pull out my Live at the El Mocambo DVD to watch later.
  23. Went to Baffin Bay with some guys in my fly fishing group this weekend. Headed down on Thursday with a stop at Reese Bros Barbecue in the way down (see Texas BBQ thread). Stayed at a really nice AirBNB right on the bay. Shortly after the sun went down, three of us went to a house with a lighted pier. I caught three keeper trout and ten more undersized - all on a small, white, clouser I tied the day before. At the end of the night, there was nothing left but white thread and bread chain eyes. Next morning four of us met up with a guy that ferried us out about half way down the Kennedy shoreline. Started with a tan Gurgler which paid off with two trout. After the sun went up, I switched to my second small white clouser. Over the next hour, I landed nine trout, a ladyfish, a piggy perch, and a black drum. Moved to another spot and caught a nice ladyfish on a gold spoon fly. Back at the house at 12:30. That night we went to Baffin Bay Seafood Company for a good dinner, then back to the lighted pier. It was more wind which made fly casting difficult, so I casted a few times and landed a trout, then headed back. Those that stayed caught several more trout, some on a Tenkara rig. Saturday back out to the Kennedy shoreline, almost out to the Laguna Madre. Fishing wasn't as good and the wind came earlier. I landed a couple trout on a flash minnow fly, but others were ready to move on to another spot. Those were my last fish of the day. Hit a couple more spots on the way back, but I didn't have any further luck. There were a few more fish caught by others, including a black drum and two redfish. Chilled at the house the remainder of the afternoon and she trout, redfish, and drum for dinner. I was more than pleased with my first trip to Baffin Bay.
