  1. Right handed, cast right handed, reel left handed. For fly fishing - casting is the most important, so use your dominant hand.
  2. We had an Australian exchange student a few years back. She was told before she came (1) don't talk to the Texans about guns and (2) you can't say cunt like you do in Australia.
  3. *Bye basketball.
  4. It is what it is - I didn't expect much. Won't be any emmys handed out for this one, but I like dumb, funny 30 minute shows and Skarsgard has some pretty funny lines.
  5. I didn't think I'd like the animated shows, but ended up watching Rebels and most of Clone Wars. There is a bunch of background stories that are not detailed in the regular movies or series. I found a list of the essential Clone Wars episodes and skipped the rest. Might have been posted on Surly somewhere.
  6. I used Cedar Park Overhead Doors several years ago when a spring broke. Another spring broke last month and they came out and retrofitted a different system that has one large spring along the front as opposed to the two springs along the side. I've been pleased with their work and responsiveness. It's not cheap, but I can't compare with anyone else. I don't any are cheap - except maybe Fast and Fair Richard.
  7. Probably burn the whole house down. They'll give you a new roof on the rebuild.
  8. @honolulu horn - Shut 'Em Down is probably the best Public Enemy song for this thread, although Fight the Power is more well known. Chuck D has a intimidating voice - and this song has much less Flav.

We'd be better off with one less DP striker, IMHO.

I think Uzuni and BV would be tripping over each other. That's the reason Uzuni sucks as a winger - he'd rather crowd BV in the middle. BV and Owen worked better in the limited time they acted as dual strikers, but Owen played more as a false nine than a true striker.
  11. My wife and I were watching a story about McPherson on 60 minutes or Sunday Morning or something she records. We weren't even halfway through when she turned to me and said - no you can't apply. Place sounds awesome - kind of like Hogwarts for classic car people.

Desler and Buka are a force on the right side. If we can figure out a good combination on the left - Biro/Taylor or Biro/Gally. Owen and Dani are good pieces in the middle. Uzuni does not work well as a left winger. Unfortunately at this point, BV and Uzuni need to be battling to see who should start at striker.
  13. He's the new City of Kenosha librarian.
  14. I watched the documentary the other day. It was done pretty well and explained the feuds between the Kent Black and his nephews and between the Schmidt family. A couple years ago, I was talking with Kent Black at ACL Fest. He was there doing some barbecue demonstration. My wife walked up and introduced herself. Upon learning who he was and not knowing the difference between Terry Black's and Blacks', she mentioned the nice new barbecue joint that had recently opened in Lockhart. I can't imagine the look on my face when she said that. Kent went on to explain how the nephews had essentially screwed him and their grandmother by banking on the Black's barbecue name. I had to explain what was up afterwards. After watching the documentary, my wife said "now I don't feel bad about what I said to Kent Black - he's a real asshole."
  15. Both Western ratsnakes and Great Plains ratsnakes have a bar across the eyes. The Great Plains ratsnake has an "arrow point" pattern on the top of the head where the Western ratsnake does not. Great Plains ratsnake: Western ratsnake: Here's a good picture of both: I can be tough to determine for sure. I thought yours might be a Great Plains as well, but I think it is a Western.
  16. Yep. Looks like a juvenile Western ratsnake.
  17. Four Seasons (1981): Alan Alda movie about three couples in their mid-40s. We watched it last night after watching the Four Seasons (2025) series, which was a retelling of the movie. The movie was okay with a strong storyline. The Tina Fey written series was much better - mainly because the eight hour series allowed for better character development and didn't seem as rushed.
  18. He also has very distinctive face and eyes. Unless he was wearing different colored contacts, he's pretty recognizable.
  19. I was in the Fabulous Thunderbirds How Do You Spell Love music video filmed at the Austin Opera House. I only saw the video once on MTV and its apparently been erased from the earth. We were there for a couple hours, the length of a movie, so it counts.
  20. This has turned into a high school PE locker room. I don't believe any of you. Back to funny pictures.
  21. She's either going to try too hard and make mistakes or pitch her best game.
  22. Coach ain't going to lose this game with the ace on the bench.
