  1. I've never seen that many people at a Dynamo game. Messi is just as impressive on TV, when he's actually playing.
  2. 800 Contacts was always the cheapest for me. I bought a box from my doctor last time and spent way too much. Right now, I have the same prescription for both eyes which makes it easy to order.
  3. All-star game in Austin this year. I thought about going, but at these prices, my air-conditioned living room seems pretty good: Sec 121-127: $105 Sec 130-134: $210-226 200s East side: $143-160 300s: $160-182 Non-Lexus Club West side: $193 Lexus Club: $321-326 Field Club: $588-782
  4. Seems like a fairly small pool. How many British TV shows based on priest banished to an Irish island are there?
  5. *klobásník
  6. I said roughly. Considerably larger than Monaco, though.
  7. So roughly the size of Rhode Island.
  8. If you can't believe Professor Gwynthian Prins, Sir Richard Dearlove and Professor Angus Dalgleish, who can you believe.
  9. Never would have guessed Uncle Rico would be the through line for all seasons.
  10. Last year you could choose the local feed instead of the national feed. This past Austin FC game didn't have that option. Maybe only on home matches.
  11. Yeah. The feed isn't great. Some of the 1st team feeds are great either. I finally had to turn off the NYCFC game the other day - played in Yankee stadium with pinstriped touchlines and the wires crossing the middle of the picture. I'm so glad that Austin has a dedicated soccer stadium.
  12. I'll say this about the MLS Season Pass - I use it much more than I thought I would. Obviously for Austin FC away games, but I usually re-watch home games too. I'll watch a random afternoon game on Saturday or Sunday. I'll go back through most of the weekend's games and watch the 7-8 minute recap. If I'm home on Friday nights, I'll turn on the Austin FCito game.
  13. HEB crackberries are back.
  14. The most embarrassing thing about that story is when you admitted to using emojis.
  15. I think County Line serves beef back ribs which are much different than short ribs.
  16. Yes. And there are plenty of better places doing beef ribs now.
  17. Burnt Bean and InterStellar are my top two right now.

So impressed with the defending. Biro was outstanding on the left and it was a clear plan for Gally and Owen double up Bouanga every time he got the ball on the right. I was concerned about Kolmanic, but most of the LA later attacks came on the other side. Should have had at least one more goal, probably two (Sabovic and Uzuni). I never would have believed that one goal would result in 3 points in this game.
  19. First episode of Dope Thief was strong enough to keep going. I like the two main actors.
  20. Hit InterStellar BBQ today. Arrive around 9:35 and was roughly 25th in line. About 10:15 the line was considerably longer. This was my first time since the Michelin Star. Not sure if this is the new normal or its a product of SXSW. Lots of groups. Most of my order was to go, so no pictures. I like to try the specials which today is the piri piri chicken which was amazing. Brisket, pork ribs, mac & cheese, jalapeño slaw, free charro beans, and peach tea glazed pork belly for dinner. Also grabbed a couple links of the 1963 polish sausage to eat on a future date with saurkraut. One of the guys in front of me literally ordered everything on the menu and not just a taste of everything. Two beef ribs with chimichurri, brisket, all three sausages, . . . pints of all sides and every dessert. I thought he was meeting ten other people, but it was all for him. Obviously he didn't eat it all, but he was trying a few bites of everything.

    ¡VERDE!
  22. I wouldn't expect anything that late, but that is just a guess. I say FAFO and report back.
  23. Luck Reunion yesterday. Bounced around and saw several acts. Wanted to see Steve Earle and Charlie Crockett, but the chapel holds less than 100 people and I didn't want to wait in line for hours. Chaparelle was entertaining covering Kris Kristoffeson songs. Several people came out to sing with them - Margo Price, Lukas Nelson, Charlie Sexton, and Grace Bowers. Never heard of Grace Bowers, but she can really play the guitar. Ended up watching a good part of her set. Shane Smith and the Saints always puts on a good show. The wife really wanted to see Arcade Fire. They were playing in the saloon which holds about 200 people. There was a huge line outside during the earlier act, so we just camped out on the porch to see if we could hear from out there. When the previous act ended, everyone was supposed to leave the saloon - they refused. Security came and some people left, but the majority just sat down. Eventually, they started let some people in. It was kaos and during the confusion, the wife just climbed through an open window. While she was watching Arcade Fire, I watched Lucinda Williams. Arcade Fire went long due to the mess, so I caught Willie singing Whiskey River and Stay All Night. Back to the saloon. The Preservation Hall Band played the last couple of songs with Arcade Fire and then marched outside playing Iko Iko. Long day, but we had a great time. Until next year . . .
  24. I enjoyed Panther City BBQ as well. Its been a few years, so I'll defer to @GreenspointTexas if there has been a decline.
  25. Now we all have "searched for helicorprion"
