  1. Remember when the USC/Notre Dame game was must watch TV? I 'member. Tonight's game is just bad football, although Keontay is having a pretty good game. Malcolm Epps is doing Malcolm Epps things...lets a TD pass go through his hands and bounce off his facemask.
  2. Any car commercial, whether Cadillac, Lincoln, or any other, that shows the driver of their cars taking their hands off the steering wheel just to show that the car can steer itself irritates the shit out of me. Not only is this reinforcing inherently unsafe behavior, but if someone is too lazy or disinterested in driving to keep their fucking hands on the wheel and pay attention to the task of driving their car, maybe they shouldn't be driving.
  3. 44.2 million covid survivors in the U.S. indicate otherwise.
  4. You ever play the lottery?
  5. Yeah...my tastebuds were a lot less adventurous in my youth. At that stage in my life, putting any vegetables on a sandwich was pushing the envelope.
  6. Moore-Hill alum, checking in; fall '79 - spring '82. I may be misremembering this, but I seem to recall it costing somewhere around $1100-$1200 per semester including meal plan at Jester cafeteria. Meal plan included three meals a day Mon-Sat, and two (breakfast/lunch) on Sunday. Spent almost every Sunday dinner at Schlotzky's in the basement of Dobie. I was enough of a regular that they would start making my sandwich before I got to the counter because it was always the same; (ham&swiss on white with lettuce, tomato, light on the onions and black olives).
  7. Here on the east coast, it's 4:55 pm...and Oklahoma sucks!
  8. There's a thread in IPIHB (Old School Fap?) in which there is a nude of Betty White taken back in the 40s...she was smokin' hot.
  9. TCU can do much better than this...the one on the left looks like Randy Travis
  10. Oh Lord, bless this, Thy hand grenade, that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemy to tiny bits, in Thy mercy.
  11. Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide...it's a killer!
  12. This is supposed to be a happy occasion. Let's not bicker and argue about who killed who.
  13. May of 1981, my first show at FEC, I saw Santana. A friend had tickets, but had to cancel at last minute, so he gave me his on about the 10th row floor. Great show. Spring of 1982, I saw Earth, Wind and Fire with girlfriend. Not really my musical wheelhouse, but surprisingly good show. I also saw ZZ Top in April 1982 in what was their first Austin appearance since the infamous Rootin', Tootin' Barndance and BBQ at DKR on Labor Day 1974. There really was an electricity on campus prior to this show, and they did not disappoint. Still one of the highlights of my concert going days. Last show I attended was summer of 1983 with David Bowie on the Let's Dance tour. Had great seats towards from of lower bowl, and was hoping for a special guest appearance by SRV. It was a great show in spite of no Stevie.
  14. Are you an engineer? You sound like an engineer...and I say that with all due respect. Okay Poindexter, there just seems to be something incongruous between cruise control, and All Gas, No Brakes...maybe not from an engineering point of view, but...gottdammit.
  15. I know that cruise control isn't technically the same thing as brakes, but still, NO FUCKING BRAKES!!!
  16. And stole their basketball coach. I think they're still pissed about that.
  17. This is the correct answer, right here.
  18. Ballad of Little Jo - A virtually unknown western starring Bo Hopkins about an eastern society woman in the late 19th century who moves to the west, changes her identity and lives as a man...based on a true story. The cinematography is beautifully stark, and there was just something about this film that drew me in. This Is My Father - Starring James Caan about an American high school teacher who travels to Ireland seeking to learn the story of his parents relationship. A moving story, told with generous bits of humor.
  19. Beat me to it...I was going to say, "Brian Jones may have been right, but Mick Taylor was a better guitar player."
  20. Industrious Fucktards...what a great band name.
  21. So, if we say that this story is complete bullshit because aggy won all 5 of their home games in 1907, can we still collect the $1 million?
  22. That's Red Turner on the left, and Tommy Shannon third from left, from Johnny Winter's old band. Of course, Tommy went on to play with Stevie again in Double Trouble.
  23. Barbarossa with Willie Nelson and Gary Busey. Great western that seems to have been lost and forgotten.
  24. Not sure about this, but I hear the secret ingredient is nutmeg.
  25. JFC, do you dickheads not read the whole thread? Mrhog addressed this in one of his first posts, and it has been reiterated several times in subsequent posts that he has Cerebral Palsy, and is typing as best as he can. He's contributing, and being respectful, and I don't think it's too much to ask to be respectful in return. A little awareness goes a long way.
