  1. Scoreboard seems a little racist.
  2. After nearly losing to South Fucking Sudan, I expected this team to dropkick Germany to the moon. The fact that they didn't plus the fact that Lebron again had to take over the game to prevent another loss is concerning. Steve Kerr had better get shit figured out ASAP or this team is going to fuck around and gack the gold when the real games start.
  3. Licorice Pizza. Had a few redeeming qualities (the sets were a nostalgia trip for me; Bradley Cooper's performance in a small role), but it was basically a big mess.
  4. Yes, no other team is "actually working out, eating right, and practicing." I also like the fact that the dumbass aggy poster thinks our D-line is "inexperienced." So much stupidity in only 7 lines of text.
  5. "We have yell leaders give hour long speeches the night before to inspire and instill confidence." Lulz Yes, *that's* the critical element that will put aggy over the top in '24!
  6. Kinda reminds me of the ISU o-lineman who was talking before the UT-ISU game last season. How did that turn out?
  7. Master of comedic timing. RIP. A good, long run.
  8. Remember: negative numbers still count as numbers.
  9. There are a ton of bands and artists I like or even love. But the Beatles are godhead. They not only revolutionized popular music, they changed the world.
  10. Hours of nightmare fuel for those who want it. Some of the rattlers in the livestream look really big and fat. https://www.yahoo.com/news/livestream-shows-hundreds-rattlesnakes-mega-141500955.html
  11. Good job of coughing up the lead, Webb
  12. 15 yards is too close to a bull moose -- even one that seems docile at the time. Those critters are unpredictable and can turn nasty in an instant. Nice pic, though.
  13. Mizzou won the SEC East in their second season (2013). They had a losing record (both conference and overall) in their first SEC season.
  14. Yes. This moron was clocked doing 140 mph last year and pled to a misdemeanor speeding charge. Now he gets charged with DUI after being found asleep at the wheel just days after a rookie teammate died in an incident that apparently involved another driver under the influence of alcohol. Apparently, this dumbass just doesn't learn from his own mistakes or those of others (like Henry Ruggs). This Vikings fan thinks Minnesota drafted a fucking moron who doesn't give a shit about his actions placing others at risk.
  15. Sad news. I read many of his columns and reviews (particularly when I was living in Austin), and generally enjoyed his writing. 68 is too damn young.
  16. Yep, this is Surly.
  17. OP, I share quite a few of your criteria when it comes to potential retirement places. Of the places you listed, Denver would be my first choice. You might consider Reno. Close to Lake Tahoe and the Sierras. Go in the other direction and you've got the mountains and high desert of Nevada. Tons to explore in every direction. Weather is pretty decent -- sunnier and less snow/rain than Denver. Good-sized airport with flights going to lots of places. And the Nevada tax breaks. Doesn't have the food scene that Denver does, but it isn't terrible. The politics there tend to be more moderate than much of the rest of the state. I've also thought about Albuquerque. Even better weather, somewhat larger than Reno, and a decent airport. Pretty good food and beer scene. But Albuquerque has some pretty sketchy areas and crime can be an issue. You definitely would need to pick the correct neighborhood. Quality of health care would generally be better in either Denver or Reno (or lots of places, frankly). Tucson checks some of your boxes, but it gets really hot in the summer. Not as hot as Phoenix, but pretty damn hot nonetheless. They also apparently have infrastructure issues there from what I've read.
  18. Very well played. The top one is absolute gold.
  19. Tragic. Happened after 3 a.m. with at least one vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and alcohol possibly involved. A sadly familiar refrain.
  20. I never really considered it, but it dawned on me after reading your post that you're absolutely right. They were remarkably similar in how they played characters.
  21. Will be blending this up this weekend to beat the heat.
