  1. That. And there are tapes
  2. Not if there’s a gag order
  3. My understanding is that a lot of these witnesses testified already, but declined to answer some questions based on assertions of privilege which have now been settled, so the prosecutors are re-calling them to answer the questions they previously ducked.
  4. I thought the GOP believed you can run over un sanctioned protesters or was that just black people? lol never mind I know what the answer is
  5. It is pretty incredible that someone volunteering for an interview indignantly responds to a question with “I’m not in a deposition”. Answering questions is kind of the whole point of your being on tv
  6. Pretty sure the subpoenaed secret service guys were on Trump detail at Mar a Lago
  7. *reads one article in The Athletic, takes credit for analysis*
  8. What was emotional about my post? And just because you had a bad take doesn’t mean that I (or any others who responded) somehow didn’t read or understand what you said. But whatever makes you feel better I guess
  9. Without knowing the charges this is kinda just throwing spaghetti at the wall.
  10. That’s believable but also Cy Vance wasn’t exactly on top of the Harvey Weinstein stuff, so this could just be an excuse
  11. Typically I think indictments are sealed to keep the accused from knowing they’re being investigated until it’s time to arrest. Sealing also keeps identity of witnesses secret but at this point I think it’s of national importance for the public to know the severity of the crimes charged.
  12. Yes, I think the charges need to be unsealed.
  13. Small beef: The premise that the justice department belongs to the party of the current president in power is mostly bullshit. Bill Barr and Donald Trump definitely put their thumbs on the scale for political outcomes, but I think that’s an outlier in the history of the department
  14. He used to be represented by Morgan Lewis a lot - I think they were the ones that instituted the rule that two people had to be in on every conversation with Trump bc he’d lie so much. Anyway, I think they distanced themselves around the time of the subpoenas for tax info but I could be mistaken
  15. These things are never really about team or locker room dynamics- it’s more about being out publicly, and fans’ reactions. The examples of out players actively playing at the top levels of any sport are super rare
  16. People should stop being so poor, amirite?
  17. Has anyone else seen this commercial about the college girl “rocking” her mustache? Holy Christ
  18. I mean, ok, but let’s not pretend there wasn’t a huge power dynamic difference between them
  19. Settle down there, chief. (directed at the author, not the surly poster). Yes there’s a valid point that some good things Twitter used to do are gone, but let’s also acknowledge the reality that Twitter was always simultaneously a hellscape.
  20. Speaking of Spurs- their managing director of football just got a worldwide ban from FIFA (not just Italy) and the duration was extended too. More at the link: https://theathletic.com/4360629/2023/03/29/paratici-tottenham-levy-spurs/
