  1. I really enjoyed the Sisters last year. It was my first time seeing them and enjoyed it. Yeah, Andrew uses backing tracks for his vocals but most bands do nowadays. That seems to be the biggest complaint about their live shows.
  2. https://brobible.com/sports/article/flavor-flav-us-water-polo-olympics/ US women’s team captain posts on Instagram that they are short on funding for the Paris Olympics. Flavor Flav sees it and sponsors the team. He said as a girl dad he wants to be an example of how men can support women. He then got Taylor Swift to pony up some money also.

  3. Picked up tickets to see Sisters of Mercy. Really excited for the opener, Blaqk Audio.
  4. Pretty sure there is/was a Dickey's in Buda over by Lowes.
  5. Kids of divorced parents don't generally get to pick which parent they live with. It's a good thing states don't hold that against them in this instance.
  6. Hot Wheels: "It's not my fault schools are fucked. Schools fucked themselves." https://www.chron.com/news/article/greg-abbott-schools-budget-hisd-19454906.php
  7. I enjoyed the first season but I have zero attachment to the books. Nerdrotic, Critical Drinker, and all the other incel reviewers are gonna lose their shit over the Asian elf in that trailer.
  8. Most states base allow residency on either parent’s legal residence.
  9. That dude looks like a psychopath. I think it’s a TxTow play and he’s the Ripper.
  10. Of course this exists: Sexual Abuse Liability Coverage for churches. https://www.ministryinsured.com/church-insurance/liability/abuse-molestation/
  11. I’m stuck at the Domain Apple Store replacing a kid’s watch. I never come here. Who the fuck are these people? Why are 3 wheel cars the Austin slab for cruising a shopping mall? Who details them with neon? Who the fuck shops at the Yeti store and needs two bags of their wares? FML.
  12. Saw a tweet yesterday that many insurance carriers are not writing new policies on the Cybertruck because of the repair costs related to the design. The windshield, alone, is $5,000 and that doesn't include installation. Don't worry, Elon has you covered since there's a Tesla-owned insurance company that will cover it for you... https://x.com/2weeksProbably/status/1733853310447161560
  13. Tesla removes all US job postings
  14. Utz owns the rights to Bob’s and the recipes. No idea why they don’t do shit with it.
  15. The only bands on that list of dogs I would pay to see are Orville Peck, Khruangbin, and Hermanos Gutiérrez.
  16. Then you’re left with a political thriller about a lush planet that will starve to death if it doesn’t get off planet supplies for 24 hours and a side plot about an annoying kid you wouldn’t mind being trampled to death by a taun taun.
  17. I haven’t been since they left Star Bar.
  18. Solo is better than it should’ve been with all the problems it had with production. It’s pretty fun and had some cool world building in it.
  19. Every that dude appears on screen, all i can think of is this guy...
  20. Damn. I had no idea he was still alive but his impact on the Austin music scene and alternative music in general is under appreciated.
  21. Welp, enjoy it while you can. I'd guess half of those moves never happen since you have to remain solvent and income free during a 1+ year construction project. Most people have moved on by then to retirement or another opportunity. If they do move in, most don't survive because the average Austinite can't figure out where to park for ground level retail. I look forward to Hoover's joining the Austin airport's graveyard of mom and pop restaurants.
  22. I'm here for the revealed middle cootch.
  23. IIRC, this group is the beginning of MI5 (secret service). Rogue Heroes was the beginning of the SAS (special forces).
  24. I'll be Houston that day so I'm sure I'll be avoiding that humidity and heat.
  25. By not keeping pickles in stock, they made more money since they were still covered in the menu prices but not provided to the customer. Maybe Miguel should’ve listened to that employee more often.
