Brady played a completely different style than mahomes. He was nearly immobile and had a god tier offensive line.

Mahomes will have to reinvent his style of play.

Yup.  Tom had 0 athleticism so he relied on it 0 percent.  Mahomes' entire shtick is he gets outside of the pocket, extends plays, and plays backyard football with a few elite play makers.  He no longer has the elite play makers.  Now he might not have the athleticism.  Gonna have to reinvent his game.

He's not Lamar Jackson. He'll be fine.

Hell, unathletic Brady scrambled more after his ACL because the OL faded and he needed to make plays.

That goes to show how important it is for QBs to be in the right situation, even great QBs.  Mahomes landed in an ideal place in the NFL.  His head coach is an offensive genius plus Reid is the only head coach he has had in the NFL, he has always had elite playmakers catching his passes, he doesn't have to constantly run for his life behind a patchwork OL, Kansas City's owners aren't cheapskates or attention whores or greaseballs, he was allowed to ease into the starting job because he wasn't expected to bail out a franchise that had been poorly run since he was in elementary school on day 1 of his rookie year.  If some dumpster team like the Jets or the Browns, who both passed on him, drafted Mahomes they might have permanently fucked him up.  I can envision some dinosaur coach who gets hard watching highlight reels from the 80s trying to coach the creativity and unconventional passes out of Mahomes if he ended up on a bad team.  I really hope a franchise that isn't a fucking joke ends up with the #1 pick in 2024 so Caleb Williams is put in a good position to succeed.

Case & point - Matt Stafford didn't win shit in Detroit; now he is the leading MVP candidate and with a prime spot to get to his 2nd SuperBowl (no jinxing)

Sucks for him.  I wouldn't say I'm a fan of his, but the guy is fun to watch.  Big loss for the league.

Big loss indeed. He's been the most consistently entertaining guy playing in the league for awhile now. I'm a Broncos fan, so fuck the Chiefs, but I can't hate on Mahomes the player. That dude has been involved in some crazy fun games over the years, and he came out ahead more often than not.

The lack of even a pedestrian/ average OL is what sealed the Chiefs' fate this season, and Patrick's.

You're right, he ain't Lamar.  Lamar can actually throw the ball deep.

I think ya'll are severely underestimating how much of the Mahomes magic over the past half decade is him picking up extra 1st downs by scrambling and him throwing some goofy shit that Kelce just finds a way to haul in.

Chargers have a much worse O-line and they won that game over KC and they're going to the playoffs.

And Brady didn't try to squeeze every possible nickel out of the team so he could have quality around him

The Chiefs have had glaring issues for a couple years that they’ve been unable to improve. Now Kermit has a fucked up knee, Kelce is close to done and Reid is only getting older and fatter. They definitely have some work to do to get back to contenders.

SD's is possibly the worst in the league.  No argument there.

The Chiefs thought they could lose Tunney and additionally  be Ok with the rookie LT.  Well, it worked until it didn't.  For multiple games they have started 3 guys who shouldn't be anywhere near a starting lineup.

I agree that the Chargers shouldn't have won, but KC's offensive line is straight ass, especially the past 4-5 weeks.
