We could use some athletes …

Unfortunately this is what more games in the SEC will be like for us.

I’m sure VIC knows this coming from State

It's also just one of those days where NC State is apparently going to be unconscious from 3.

If they don't shoot another one all day I'm not sure we can put a real scare into them. Every spot on the floor looks to be an NCSU advantage. We are inept within 8 feet of the rim and little better beyond.

Athleticism is not a problem with Harmon.

The problem is we essentially only have 1 guard now without Harmon. We are having to play a PF at PG because she's the most talented player on the roster. We should probably add another athletic guard in the portal but this was always going to be the downfall of this team against a team with quick/athletic guards once Harmon was injured.

Honestly I don’t think Harmon would have helped as much as y’all are insinuating.

Yes she would. She's the best defensive guard in the country.

You put her on James and this game is a completely different story.

Agree.  Big is good .. big, slow, and unathletic not so much.

Also, I think Booker hit the wall.  Too much on our primary scorer’s plate ..

She's playing out of position. Booker is a PF playing PG right now because we don't have Harmon.

It makes what she's done this year even more incredible.

I see you haven't watched South Carolina.

They win games by going really big and destroying teams on the offensive boards/points in the paint. This team is a mirror image of South Carolina when we have Harmon to fill the Paopao role from South Carolina.

… and what was incorrect that I said?  The “big, slow, and unathletic” was not directed at Booker.

I agree that Booker’s done a terrific job of taking on Harmon’s role .. but, she has had no chance to take an oncourt breather and it’s showing.

Those SC guards can and will shoot it from distance though. It’s the great equalizer and it’s something we don’t do in volume, which means it’s hard to come back

USCe has athletic bigs … ours only occupy the space they’re standing in.

Gaston and Muhammad are very athletic players at the 4 and 5.

The problem in this game is not our bigs. It's that we can't keep their guards out of the paint with Booker (a PF playing PG) and Gonzales (not a very athletic guard who is a shooter/scorer).

Booker is 4-14 from the field and is just jacking up shots like she's trying to pad stats.

She's not even useful as a decoy.

I've noticed she doesn't feed Holle much.  Shay's 6-7 and needs to get some open looks from the 3pt line.
