same people who slobbed cole palmer like he was buck tooth messi and then went silent when mikel merino became an emergency striker and was a far superior attacker from that point forward. yeah, those people. they think arteta sucks. choose your side wisely.

“hey i read your OP for your own team’s thread and then i came over here to this thread to talk shit about you, but also i never think about you.”

when trying to look cool makes you look like the insecure jackass that you are. well done dude. still waiting on anything substantive from you.

I didn’t feel like thread shitting your brand new season thread was the appropriate place to call you a conspiracy theorist.

Your initial post in your own 25-26 Arsenal thread fits in well with AFTV.

again, i invite you to cite literally anything to back this up. i’m particularly interested in watching you try and do this considering that my views are diametrically opposed to those of AFTV. stop repeating yourself, and cite something specific.

Dude, we made it the whole season, can you NOT make him go full derka?

this idiot @Firemans4Horn has been ON ONE lately. just in here talking shit for no reason, and then not even backing it up. just yapping and stating shit for nothing. what a loser.

from the moment he told me that liverpool had actually suffered more/worse injuries this season than arsenal (just straight up wrong, and by a mile at that), and that there was nothing impressive about arteta guiding us to the CL semifinals and second place despite literally not having a striker (plus the aforementioned, unparalleled injury crisis), i said, “ok, this guy’s got his head so far up liverpool’s ass he’s become the least objective poster here.” just stirring shit up and adding nothing of value. yeah he’s the man.

technically, not an EPL match.  but ManU is playing Tottenham for silverware in Bilbao.

Good thing- they might find a way for BOTH of them to lose if it were.

They credited it to Brendan Johnson, but I have a feeling after breaking tape that's going to be called an OG.

There’s been nothing impressive about what Arteta has done.
And I believe Fireman’s was referring the the season Klopp had all the injuries and finished on 69 points.

Every team has injuries you don’t see most of us bitching about it. If you want sympathy.

when arteta took over this club we were in a place where playing against the likes of liverpool, city, chelsea, and united meant losing 8-2, 6-1, or 4-0 on a regular basis. now, none of those teams have beaten us in the premier league in years.

and that’s despite not having any goal scorers

IMG_2791.jpeg.00f621be532370d617989de3a9151ab5.jpeg

and while dealing with more injuries than any other team in the league:

saying that there’s nothing impressive about reaching the CL semifinals while thrashing real madrid and finishing 2nd in the epl despite all of that adversity is just plain stupid.

who here is seeking sympathy? arsenal had more injuries + more severe injuries than any other team in the league, plus a myriad of other factors working against mikel arteta, and yet he still has his side in second place, with a deeper champions league run than any other team. we’re talking about whether or not that qualifies as impressive. “not impressed” says fans of shittier teams facing way less adversity. lol ok.

Theres nothing impressive about not winning anything of significance in 4 years at one of the biggest clubs in the country that’s been the 4th biggest spender in that time frame.

Im also not sure why you act like this is some unheard of level of injuries. Arsenal has had a lot of injuries this season, likely will be 1st in the injury table, but it’s not like teams haven’t had injuries before. Someone leads the injury table every season. Welcome to sports.

Also I love that you dropped in the “lowest point total for champions since Leceister” as if the league hasn’t been done and dusted since Christmas. And I’ll care about the point total when it doesn’t include “champions”

quote me literally any example of another epl team having an injury record like arsenal did this season. we literally have been playing without a striker for months.

Look at the injury tables. This season isn’t an outlier

also, defining success, or a coach’s job being “impressive” based solely on winning trophies is the dumbest possible way to support a football club. just be a madrid, bayern, and psg fan and call it a day if that’s how you feel. this isn’t binary; this isn’t “win a trophy and that’s impressive (see: this terrible tottenham team/season), or don’t win a trophy and you suck”. that’s such a fanatical, childish way to look at it.

the transformation that those of us who’ve actually been paying attention to arsenal have seen has been amazing. the stability and competitiveness of the club is night and day from what it was when arteta arrived- night and day. he got rid of all the deadwood and terrible contracts, he’s recruited and signed a ton of young talent who are still entering their primes, and he has the club set up to be competitive for major trophies for years to come. we’ve gone from old and terrible david luiz and sokratis at the back to young and burgeoning saliba and gabriel, for example. and he’s had arsenal playing better and advancing farther than 95% of the league without having any support from the board to buy the strikers he’s wanted (which is about to change now that we’ve dropped edu for andrea berta).

that’s impressive. if you’re only impressed by trophies then ghats certainly your prerogative, but it’s dumb. it means you’re more impressed by ange and tottenham than arsenal and arteta. just a painfully stupid way to assess “impressive”.

TIL that UT Football has had exactly 4 impressive teams. damn.

you made the accusation, it’s your job to back it up and prove it. you rolled your eyes at the idea that arsenal has had a particularly bad injury run this year. back that up with something substantive.

show me another team that’s dealt with this:

Yea sorry I’m not in the business of celebrating not winning. Mot my cup of tea but to each their own. You’re not a fan of a small club. This is the business you’ve chosen.

But cool 4th place ... I guess we can call it 2 years against the top 6 trophy.
