I judge people who drink those for fucking up both their margarita and the beer, although the beer is usually shit beer anyhoo.

Ketchup on a hotdog judgment.  Nothing more.

Drink what you want.

Guilty, but not with the margs -- on the lemonade-and-beer end. My wife bought a bunch of Pacifico and some other lighter stuff for a gathering we had this summer. It had been a while since I had the Pacifico and my tastes have changed enough that I am no longer as impressed as when I first had it in Austin many years ago. So I thought -- since we were frequently try different shandies in the summer -- that I'd make my own lemon shandy.

Bought what I thought was some good lemonade and made my own shandy. It sucked, but mostly because it turned out I missed an old sell-by date on the lemonade (took it back to the store because it made me waste a perfectly fine Pacifico). To make up for it I'm gonna go find some Leinie's or Shiner if we get some more summer up here. The Shiner Lemonade Shandy, BTW, is outstanding, for those who accept shandies as legit.

Central Market has four pack cans of this magnificent black bastard.

my neighborhood pub kept this on tap at all times for about a year, as it was the personal favorite of the owner, but of course it didn’t move, and eventually lost its spot. And now the whole pub has closed :(

Is that in Jonesboro, AR? If not, why not?

That is in Decorah, IA.  Because I wasn’t going to spend 9 hours to drive to a dry county for a football game.

Found about 10 of these vintage bottles cleaning out my grandpas barn. Google says 1960s-70s Pilsner from the Netherlands. Anyone know anything about this beer? Looks like it’s still in production but I’ve never heard of it.

They sold it in identical green bottles with stoppers like that not all that long ago. I haven't seen it on shelves for some years now though.

these were popular with the homebrew crowd when i was in college because of the reusable top, so i drank quite a few of them. they were in green bottles though. nice, crisp pilsner from what i remember.

Yeah the swing-tops were popular with homebrewers back in the day.  I've always seen it in green bottles rather than brown.

The beer itself is fine if you drink it locally, but when it travels overseas it suffers from all the same issues that other lagers in green bottles do.

My cousin does an Oktoberfest party every  year with about 130-150 people and a keg of this is solidly in the rotation.  Good stuff!!!
