For better or worse, Newsom is about to become the face of the MAGA resistance.

Paradoxically, he will also be the face of the cops shooting the protesters (and bystanders) with rubber bullets and pepper balls.  It would be difficult to resist the federalization of the national guard without supporting those whose role they'd replace or augment. And to be clear, the national guard and marines haven't done shit yet.  It's the cops. It would be tough line to walk for any politician, but I think Newsom will side firmly with the cops.  Hell, I think half of Trump's reasoning for LA is to be able to hang the "lawless" bs on Newsom.

Eh.  Partial credit.  Maybe he should have stuck with an O/U, Obama didn't seem to have any issues with it.   It was a photo op, like most politicians outdoors (cue Cruz fishing).   Or, maybe all that natural testosterone flowing just caused his masculine fingers to fumble it all up.  But he was tossed in there in haste, he's got 3 years to figure it out this time.

Hey if somebody who thinks this would vote for Pete, that probably says something. We need every vote we can get.

Might have gotten wires crossed.  I couldn't in good conscience vote for him, and I don't think he's switching parties anytime soon.  But I think the pendulum is going to swing back hard, and someone who is very smart and doesn't have a overt dislike for America isn't the worst thing in the world.

Ok then. So who in good conscience could you vote for? Is it nobody and Pete is just the least bad option.
