Schlong undefeated?

Unfortunately, if her entire team and coaches thinks she’s being abused by her boyfriend, it’s probably true and she’s just too emotionally attached to him to end the relationship.

Pretty sure her first post after her announcement of taking the season off was a picture of the boyfriend

So yes. Undefeated

In better news, we have won every second set so far this season. That was a big issue last year with that team, we tended to lose set 2 more than we won it, especially when up 1-0

probably a question for @Js1, but where to the Stafford sisters rank as best Longhorn sister tandem?

#1 - Hookers  #2 - Nash  Stafford's depends on how Torrey does next 2 years.

Yeah, the grouping is

Marshevet (T&F) and Destinee (volleyball and T&F)

Kathleen and Kristen (WBB)

Torrey (VB) and Imani (WBB)

Torey and Imani will probably end up #2 - the Nash sisters didn't do much here under Gail.  Kathleen finished with some Texas records (first Texas player with 1000 points, 900 rebounds, 200+ threes and fastest Texas player to 1000 points, 500 rebounds, 150 threes) but Kristen was a total bench contributor, not a starter

The Hooker sisters have something like 7 or 8 NCAA individual titles between them and Destinee was on the 2009 runner-up team for volleyball

And of course, on the men's side - Sam and Emmanuel Acho and D'Onta and Armani Foreman

Colt by himself elevates the McCoy brothers into the conversation on the men's side.  And herp and derp beating aggie IN aggie on tucker's kick? They get my vote.

Moral of the story - Texas has a long history of siblings donning the burnt orange, whether together or separately.

Obviously Spears is in the conversation for NFOY.

Is Stafford in contention for NPOY? Certainly 1st team AA if she keeps this up.

Yes, she was on the watchlist released over the summer. Typically, you need to be on a title contending team who makes the Final Four to win the award.

Stafford - .317, 4.23kps, .35 aces per set (9 aces to 4 errors), 3.23 dps (as a 6 rotation OH).  I think her digs make up for her blocking (5 blocks, 0.19 blocks per set)

For goodness sake, she has a double double in 5 of 7 matches

12/15 against Creighton
24/12 against Rice
18/10 against Stanford
20/18 against Louisville
15/13 against TCU

She was a dig away against ASU (12/9) and a kill away in the Wisconsin match (9) from having 7 straight games of double digit kills

Passing numbers for TCU (they were really good!)

Stafford 2.63 (8 attempts)
Halter 2.47 (17)
AVW 2.40 (5)
Gary 2.00 (10)
Ames 3.00 (1)

At 7 games into the season, our passing numbers for our main passers:

Gary 2.26
Halter 2.17
AVW 2.07
Stafford 1.98

RPI Futures currently has Texas to finish #2 with a 21-2 record and the #1 SOS.  #1 is Nebraska, who they predict will lose 1 match, with the #5 SOS

The committee loves RPI and the predicted top 4 finishers are Nebraska, Texas, Pitt and Stanford

Kentucky 5, Louisville 6, Creighton 7, TCU 8, Wisconsin 9 (nice little run of teams we play/beat), SMU 11, ASU 17, Tennessee 21, Florida 24, aggy 26, Mizzou 27, Baylor 33

They have aggy going 17-8, which would be awful considering how upperclass that roster is....

damn, pitt.  you scary.  you can lose stafford and still be a top 4?

Reigning NPOY Babcock
2 really good middles in Jones and Kelly
Brought in a really good setter from Illinois
Brought in a really good libero from FSU
And their OH from The Netherlands has been impressive

I caught a little of the Pitt vs Penn St game last night.  Babcock was unstoppable.  She was serving missiles and her hitting is at another level. The velocity she generates on her serves and swings is crazy.  Penn St had absolutely no answer for her. She definitely looks the part of reigning NPOY.

She a cheat code player. Like Logan Eggleston or Kathryn Plummer the last half decade.

Kind of hard to get there when you're sweeping folks. Not that I'm complaining.

I'd argue the Turati twins would rank above the Nash sisters

Anna has the NCAA championship

Bianca was ranked number 1 individually

Multiple All American Awards and Conference titles between them. Don't think there were any conference titles or AA awards for the Nash sisters.

Also a good choice. So many to choose from/remember

The battle of former Purdue stars - Chichoine (Louisville) and Hudson (Kentucky)

Teams have combined for 23 blocks already in the 2nd. Looking like Louisville/Texas
