Complete thread fail. The actual LLWS field has yet to be set. In the southwest regional Texas east is that Lamar LL from Richmond and Texas West is Midway LL from Waco. Waco is like a new hotspot for baseball, Midway HS won state in baseball and softball this past year.

As others have pointed out, this is for the Junior League division (14U) World Series. Cool, but there is a pretty big drop off after the actual LLWS which is the Majors division (12U).

Still, kind of cool that most of the team played in Williamsport in the LLWS in the Majors division a couple of years ago.

With that said, personally I don't care unless it's a Texas West team.

If that is the worst mistake, I've made this week then I've done pretty well.  Our youngest and last daughter was in the process of moving and this the article caught my eye just before we were leaving.  Thus, the quick post.  But it's cool.  I tell my kids to always swing for the fences.  Continue the roast and I'll make some side dishes.  LOL.  Peace out.

BTW, Today is the first Saturday the wife and I will wake up without one of the kids living here and a long time.  We will be going out for dinner tonight and returning to a clean haus and no girl drama.  BOOM!

My kids have been through with baseball for years now and maybe I'm misunderstanding, but are you saying the best 12u (and younger for that matter) talent is playing Little League with no leads etc rather than Perfect Game or whatever the most prominent travel ball governing body is?

No. I am saying that the talent within Little League International tournaments drops off after the Majors division or what is usually referred to as the LLWS. It's pretty common for travel players to play on a travel team and a Little League team just for the All Stars tournament and the dream of playing in Williamsport. That doesn't happen as much after the Majors division. There is a huge exodus of players and talent once they age out of the Majors division.

Little League All Star teams unlike travel teams are limited by league boundaries so there is no comparison.
