Knicks are shooting their hearts out..... .We had chances to put this away in the 3rd and just couldn't get there.  A guy like OG would go really well with this team.

Another early clock 3 by Wemby.  If he wants to dole out some shit talking in PC's, then he needs to be accountable when he plays shitty.  He went on a heater there for about 4 minutes, but otherwise, this wasn't a good performance.

I'm not putting this on Wemby. He went on a heater to give us that lead and those offensive rebounds are a function of him being on a minutes restriction. Fox disappeared in the 2nd half. Barnes missed multiple wide open 3s.

I will, he’s fucking sucked tonight. I’m sure he’s exhausted, but he just has been terrible. And yes, Fox has horrible ball control in the lane, and Barnes can’t hit shit.

I mean the guys should know how to track their guy, block out and get a rebound.

Mitch did not emphasize the defensive glass nearly enough. Should have used French Vanilla, and maybe could've used some of Sochan's physicality

He bears accountability.  He wasn't good tonight.  Just accept it.  The -15 in plus/minus says it all.  Now, it's not all on him and nobody was saying it was.  Vassell disappeared in the 2nd half.  Barnes can't hit the side of a barn right now, Fox is a very volatile player who does a lot of good and a lot of bad.  It's a young team and this was a great experience for them.  All a part of it, they need games together and and they need to learn from some failures.  I still don't believe this is the finished product either.  Guys will get better but we're one bigger move away from having the core set IMO.  Probably doesn't happen until next year or even 27'.

Too many players disappearing throughout the game. Wemby was no bueno, Fox needs more practice or something and Barnes might need to get his eyes checked.

Eh we went cold, it happens. Still ahead of schedule.

Fox doesn’t fit. In Q4 he wants to be the man so bad and will absolutely not pass so he can take a shitty contested shot. Harper makes him redundant.

Defensive will come with experience. Got caught ball watching several times and gave free cuts.

The double Brunson plan was good but we conceded free 3’s and they hit it, pick the poison.

Gave a billion offensive rebounds, some were bad bounces some were lack of size. Need one more big.

Harper and Castle were great tonight, those were our bright spots. Wemby disappeared in the 4th. Barnes didn't hit a single three in Vegas.

Just a really disappointing finish. Hopefully this teaches our guys that you need to hustle after those loose balls every chance you get. Don't assume someone else is going to get it.

He doesn’t box out, tries to use his length to tap the ball to a teammate or grab the ball over the defender, which works like 99% of the time. Robinson is that 1%.

Possibly. I don't see how 25 minutes for the best player on the floor is something we can ignore. When OG played 38 and Brunson played 40. As soon as he stepped on the court it was clear he was out of sync, but I don't blame that on him. He got inserted into a dogfight while the dogs had already been biting and he's 80% at best. 2027 was the goal back in October. This team is better than what we thought we had back in October.

All of this, and we have to come to terms with the fact that he's largely motivated by spite. Hate is what fueled them to victory over OKC. The beef just wasn't there for NYK. They allowed the Knicks to hang around and hang around, and I knew it would implode in the 4th. The most consistent guy was probably Luke on cleanup duty.

Just saw that he said he lost somebody today. They showed a shot of him on the bench with his eyes closed and like he was praying, I just thought he was doing some focus technique he might have learned from the monks.

Condolences to him. And yeah, poor performance excused. He obviously had other things on his mind today.

From the postgame remarks the positivity is there, rightfully so. It's been a remarkable run of tight and tough games, especially the Denver and OKC wins obviously. That will pay dividends when they make the playoffs.

Looking forward to playing the Knicks at home on 12/31. It'll be much different. Wemby will probably get a triple double.

Also this dude just keeps being absurdly awesome

"Sky is the limit," Harper said. "It's our second game [all together again]. It's nothing to overreact about. We have won a lot of close games in the Cup or in the season in general. To be on this side is definitely a good learning experience. It teaches us a lot about ourselves, and it's good that we have a whole lot of room to grow knowing what we have done up to this point."

I don't think Wemby underperformed. The Knicks exposed a weakness in his game, and it's something Mitch could have fixed by adding Kornet in the lineup. And more minutes for Keldon, our best offensive rebounder.

Even when we were up 11, my gut was telling me this game "felt" like a loss. Just had all the hallmarks of it. I hate being right. I agree, he loves playing with spite.

I think Kornet for sure would have helped but his minutes were wonky since Vic was on the restriction. Kornet had already played 33 minutes. I don't know how much he had left in the tank at the end for the French Vanilla combo.

All the more reason we shouldn't have shelved Olynyk and Sochan.

Thought there was some emotional letdown following the OKC game and Mitch didn't find any answers in the 4Q.

Won all the ones that counted and beat the Lakers and Thunder. Great little run regardless.

Definitely exceeding expectations but the next step is consistency. Wemby's comment about how NYK aren't as good as Miami and OKC (even if it's true) reflects the wrong mindset, and I believe that's coaching.
