Holy shit, this team is legit. #6 doesn’t seem so out of grasp.

Show me a loss.

Spurs youth, athleticism, and length really bothers OKC.  We can leave Wemby to anchor the middle or help side D and press out to the 3-pt line and more aggressively hedge switches than they're used to seeing.  They have talent and will adjust, SGA did score but seemed weirdly passive sometimes.  Next time we meet I'd expect them to more aggressively drive off the PNR and throw themselves into Wemby to get fouls.  It was also delightful to see them brick 3 after 3 but if half of those fall at the normal rate it's a much tighter game.

Agree we are a year ahead of schedule.  I'm not a huge Fox fan but he was nails yesterday.  Also props to everyone for cutting and making the pass.  I think my favorite was Champanie making a cut for a dunk past SGA who got caught ball watching.  Reminded me of the beautiful game a little bit.

Now we'll see how well the team can handle a larger dose of rat poison. The game is different from the top of the hill, with everyone gunning for you instead of underestimating you.

Good stuff (as always) from Lowe and Goldsberry. Especially for any of the more casual fans that are just now tuning in or want a deeper dive on the matchup.

Also it's said by many pro athletes that it's easier for them to play on the road. This young team finally has a home stretch coming. Let's see how they look.

Spurs month continues. We just watched Marty Supreme (spoiler: it sucks) but the Iceman had a cameo in it. Probably the best thing in the film.

I have an elderly uncle in San Antonio and he has no tv service. I want to set him up to be able to watch the Spurs. What is the most economical way to set him up? In the Austin area I am watching them on FanduelTV. Do I need to get him a streaming or basic cable service? Thanks

In SA he should be able to get the FanDuel TV streaming app and subscribe to FanDuel Sports Network. For some games, he would need Peacock. For other games, he would need Amazon Prime. For other games, he would need a streaming service (Sling or YouTube TV) that has ESPN. Some of the games won't be on FanDuel but would be viewable with an antenna on KENS or some shit like that.

By far, the most games for your money would be FanDuel (Sean Elliott with the homer calls)

Yeah I'd get him a Roku stick or some such and create a log in for him and set up FanDuel on his TV.

If you have cable he can probably just use your login or maybe y'all can share?

Not saying he's a charity case but you could also just reach out to the org through direct channels or social media - assuming they don't have too many "elderly uncles" needing TV service 😉

Fair, but im not buying it. I noticed last year that Wemby specifically, and the Spurs by affiliation, have had the target on their back. Teams have wanted to out-shine the Wemby Show for a while. But now we have the Dogs to impose our style on them. They better be ready for relentless pace and discipline.

Wemby has been playing angry all season. He's a total dog. "rat poision" my ass. We are here and we are now. Ask Chet Holmgren's bitchass.

That said - like I said earlier - this team isn't winning a title - yet. You have to get fucked up in the playoffs a couple times first.

Thanks. All he has now is OTA so I’ll have to get him internet service or cable. I guess I should have said that in the beginning. He’s on a fixed budget but I’ll figure it out.

@Mitch Cumsteen don't you know a couple people within the org? Spurs need to take care of this. I just bought a $20 clearance shirt at Academy for Christ's sake.

@TexasEd either way we'll figure this out. This is PR porn.

Can’t say I didn’t see this lack luster start coming

Get Jeremy off the fucking floor.

Dude doesn't care about basketball anymore.

Don't hate it from Mitch, though. Sending a message to the rotation.

Utah packing the paint, daring them to shoot. Constructing a tenement building with all these second quarter bricks.

They need to stop fucking around and take this game seriously in the 2nd half.

And sorry, Sochan, Mitch gave you a chance and you stunk it up out there.

All of these teams have hands.

Need championship effort every night. This team isn't there yet.

I think they'll get there. Mitch might be the guy.

Mitch really fucked up the 2nd quarter, should have called time out before it got out of hand.

What the fuck happened to Champagnie’s shot?

Steph is single-handedly screwing his team. Settle the fuck down, dude.

Pretty safe to say that Carter Bryant needs to play more.

Utah has some fucking dogs in the backcourt. Clayton Jr and George are killing the Spurs.

Sensabaugh has absolutely shoots lights out against this team. This Victor minutes restriction is starting to piss me off, and there really doesn’t seem to be a reason for it anymore other than “see, we’re careful”.

This is on Mitch. He tolerated like eight unacceptable possessions in a row in that 2nd quarter.

I see why we want Lauri Markkanen

At the in-laws watching ESPN gamecast and just in disbelief at how the last 10 minutes went

it came apart in the 2nd quarter when we decided not to defend 3 point shooters and totally abandoned any semblance of an identity on offense.

Best win of the session followed by its worst loss. Not having Fox to settle things down when things went sideways didn’t help but you’re going to lose every time you shoot 23% from three and Utah hits 46%.

I suppose this is a teachable moment for a young team but that’s a bad team playing on the road in a back to back while you’ve a day off. Woof.

The starting lineup was a combined 4/30 from three last night. 13%.

30 is way too high on a night like that. Mitch should not have allowed that number to go over 20.

By the way, OKC had many of the same open looks that Utah got. They have got to improve defensively. These teams make it look so easy to move the ball to a wide open man, and that's because the team is easily baited into helping when they shouldn't be.
