Looking to book a few days in Seattle the first week of June. Will stay somewhere in Queen Anne. We’d like a morning hike within an hour of town. I’ve done Rattlesnake Ledge twice. Something like Little Si looks similar and about our speed. Any recs?

was beautiful and a high of 65F.

Although 1,200 feet of elevation gain over 2 miles was no joke.

Nice.  Little Si has a little larger elevation gain, but it's more gradual than I remember Rattlesnake Ledge.  It still got my heart rate up on a couple stretches.

Eyeing a trip to Seattle in mid-October. Full on rain season by then, or decent chance we'll get some dry days?

Could be either. Won’t be warm though.

I’ve got a tee time out at Snowqualmie Ridge in mid- October and god knows what the weather will be like.

I was in Seattle last weekend. First time in a few years that we've spent time in the city and not gone to one of the state/national parks. Several things I want to say

  • Holy shit downtown Seattle is disgusting. The homeless problem was bad the last time we went but it has gotten much worse. The mornings we saw a ton of them congregate at block corners to sell each other drugs, bags, electronics, etc. At night we saw them shoot up and insulin needle caps all over the sidewalk. A few screaming at the sky who would later try and follow us on our trek to another hotel because our first one had their AC fucked up. Many of the shops are closed off and employees have to let you in after you ring a doorbell.
  • Seattle's train system is fucking awesome. We took it to and from T Mobile Park with no issues whatsoever. Wish we could do that going to Rangers games.
  • Speaking of Rangers games, T Mobile Park is also fucking awesome. The food is really good, staff is friendly, and the seating is great. It's like night and day going to a Rangers game where I'm having to stand up and sit down every fucking half inning. Seattle fans actually enjoy watching baseball.
  • Foooooooooood. The Asian food in Seattle is unreal.
  • Lots of people wearing masks.

For point 1 you just gotta know the areas to avoid.  The area right by the water and skyscrapers is spectacular. Best downtown run I’ve had

Flying home right now from a week in Seattle. Had a great time. Didn’t notice too much in terms of homeless issues in town. Mariners game was great and having the club level tickets with the entrance/bridge next to the parking lot was super convenient.

Did alot of the usual tourist stuff in town like Pike Place, Museum of Pop Culture, waterfront near Gas Works park. Also record shopping and went to just about all the breweries I wanted.

Even better parts were getting outside of town to Snoqualmie Falls, Mt Rainer National Park and the gondola ride up to Summit at Crystal Mountain. Never had salmon chowder before nor salmon fish and chips and did so several times on this trip.

Did you happen to hit the brewery in Snoqualmie right up the road from the Falls?

If not, next time.
