i could also make an argument for s2e5 if you wanted, but yes, generally people should start a good show at the beginning. not sure why people donβt.

Kirk Bohls- Love this! Not pussyfooting around the elephant in the room, but rather is saying look at the fucking elephant, it is the main reason for the shitty offense. ππ

They have their top 4 guys locked in for all of the salary cap.

would be satisfying...but wasteful. the money will have already been spent. just rip out all the gold plating, shag carpet and tacky wallpaper, hose it down, and yes, make it some sort of dedicated space/monument in honor of any number of American citizens, groups, immigrants, etc. that are being attacked by their own government. that will make more heads explode than destroying it completely.

He could have benefited from a good JuCo program where he played for 2 years before transferring to a Div 1 program and maybe got to platoon (play only 4 games?) the first year before taking over full time in his 4th year of college. Maybe he even does the Diego Pavia thing and does JuCo, then smaller college, then Power 4 his 4th & 5th or maybe 5th & 6th year of college. β¦T H E Nβ¦ he heads to the NFL.

Taafe and the Simmons upstream defending the offense brings attention to the fact that there is a gimp on the team, that needs their protection. The fact that they have to defend it, a fucking Manning no doubt, and a cripple offense being called, should make Sark ashamed of his coaching, and bringing that scrutiny to a winning side of the ball that deserves far more than what they're being asked to do--defend the shitty play calling of a head coach that refuses to recognize his own deficiencies. That string is going to get tighter till it snaps. He's got them, a tight knit group that believes in each other and bought into the system, except Sark is the weak link offensively, by not recognizing his limitations and that of several of his coaches. Not only has he not adjusted in games, he hasn't adjusted the offense overall. Plays are being predicted by telecasters, game planned by equally talented teams (tOSU, Georgia, and fucking UF) and he's calling the offensive schemes right into their practice plans. Sark needs to be a leader, and recognize his limitations. And if Sark wants to be an offensive coordinator, he should take that job and let somebody else head coach the team. It's troubling as hell that he can't see the problem from his dual perspective as both an offensive coordinator and head coach. But Sark is blinded by pride and will reward his championship defense to a lackluster season because of it. He's going to tell that side of the ball, a group that's taught to diagnose and exploit weaknesses in especially shitty offenses, what--that this is a team effort? They deserve better, maybe think about the team, and start diagnosing coaching, beginning with that of the head coach, which is to find and hire the best coaches to do their jobs, from the top down. What the fuck does he do in weekly coaching meetings--apologize to the other coaches for the offense being a colossal fuck up once again?

I watched it a couple of years ago after seeing the first few episodes of s2 at a film festival shortly before it premiered. Those episodes were so wtf/ridiculous, especially without having seen s1, that I later watched all of s1 and then the remainder of s2 as it was released. Giamatti being in s2 is what got me to commit. Overall it was fun, but like a lot of stuff from Spain they get so hung up on religious-oriented tropes that it becomes tiresome/laughable. I get that it's just their culture, but after watching a lot of their stuff it has started to wear on me. Fun series and I was bummed they stopped after s2.

I posted the following about the first season in HBOMax thread, but that thread sucks for discussing or promoting an oddball show like this one, so I figured I'd start a new one. I just finished the second season, and man, this show is fucking bonkers. You really never know what is going to happen next. It's in Spanish, so if you're not fluent, you'll have to do the dubbed and/or the subtitled audio. It's worth checking out.

Sterlin Harjoβs new show βThe Lowdownβ coming to FX
Mdhorn replied to C-Man's topic in Movies and TV
Ethan Hawke could bring the same mesmerizing dynamic that Woody Harrelson or a Stephen Dorff character had. He's his own dude, but I definitely enjoy him in this Coen-esque role, operating between earnest and levity. Sterlin Harjo is carrying Hulu right now.
