  1. Past hour
  2. People actually available and qualified to build complex plants in the US: Who our leadership wants to build complex plants in the US: Result: ain't shit gonna get built. But Cletus will surely end up collecting 100% "disability" after "working" about half a shift.
  3. Next week is it?? Damn....
  4. I own a condo in Nepal but I dunno why. Never have the time to visit.
  5. Yeah, Min of Ag gave me one. On dad's wall.
  6. 2 things. 1. It is a small sample size 2. Stroh has gotten horrific grades from PFF. Neto has not gotten good grades. Low 60s grades are not winning football. If we are getting below starter level play, might as well give it to the youth. Perhaps a better way to say it is neither Neto nor Stroh have shown they deserve to start. I am throwing out the idea that Nibble, who looked good vs SJSU (small sample size, graded in the 70s) should be allowed to compete.
  7. Big 12 crew suspended a week for fucking up Missouri Kansas game Referee Mike McCabe leads the crew, which also includes Kelly Deterding, Rick Ockey, Brandon Wood, Daniel Young, Matt Burks, and Dion Spenard Deterding is the asshole that bumped String and then threw a flag.
  8. Look, posting this kind of shit tells everyone here you are either too dumb to understand what other people are saying to you or just a blatant troll. Either way, you're not worth anyone's time.
  9. I'm not the mathiest guy ever, but is around a million fewer jobs year over year bad? seems bad U.S. Added 911,000 Fewer Jobs in the Year Ended in March
  10. One of my favorite things is how one school portrays another in their preview tweet. This should be familiar as Texas commonly gets the desert treatment, but the gun toting green eagle is next level!
  11. Interesting hot take
  12. I don't usually go back and watch games again, so this might be off, but I think the first offensive play for Texas featured some absolutely hilarious failure from that tree trunk. He basically just fell forward and touched no one as the played unfolded around him.
  13. Plus, I got a really badass Kukri at the Gurkha museum!
  14. I agree on whole. Colt really spoiled us with accuracy, QE was so accurate in the short and intermediate stuff and he had a really nice touch when it called for it....with Arch, imo he's not like anything we've seen in a long time...he may be more feast or famine and as he and Sark get comfortable with what he does best I believe he'll settle down and be great. It may take more time and thankfully we have a defense that may just make it work. Run game is a work in progress; Sark and Company will earn their bones picking and choosing what to call and when given what we have seen throhugh 2 game. I like the way this is setting up however all things considered. Im telling you , when the crossing route hits watch out. That is such an easy throw that of all the throws to not be connecting on that is one that gives me a lot of confidence that he's close to putting it together. I could be wrong but we haven't really done much orbit yet, that was staple of Sark's O with Davontae Smith, really easy throw in the flat to moving target out of the backfield, I mentioned in another thread and got heat that we may be saving for UF/OU....the pirouette screen blew up vs SJSU, QE ran that very well until it got old and we got stuffed. I think Sark is tinkering right now to find Arch's strength and ideally by UF/OU we have a plan. Im confident moving forward.
  15. What is it that I am taking seriously?
  16. Neto seems significantly better than Stroh. Stroh seems like a shittier version of Conner but at least Conner could pass block
  17. I have to say that I was mightily impressed with the TNT production on Saturday. For an utterly meaningless game against a hapless opponent, they really went all out to showcase their presentation capabilities, and I thought it was much better than your average (or even above average) ESPN broadcast. I hope we get more of that, not just for the Big 12, but for college games in general.
  18. Yes....but...I think that USED to be true. Sponge-brained youth would show up at university, get exposed to utopian (fantastical, unrealistic) ideas which are often raised by voices/authors on the left, and buy into them hardcore because they have little wisdom, experience, or discernment. Frankly, it's a natural part of the intellectual growth curve; many people go through an "ignorant, naive idealist" phase. Such "ignorant, naive idealist" tendencies generally didn't lend themselves to hardcore retrograde/"conservative" thinking; that mostly came from upbringing. BUT....in recent years, with social media, algorithms, and an explosion of often purposefully divisive right-wing online content being streamed 24/7 into those same impressionable sponge brains, young intolerant ideologues of the right-wing persuasion have blossomed. Will they grow out of that phase? It remains to be seen, we're still pretty early in this game.
  19. matt mcclearin and rich phillips for four hours. they just won their next marconi.
  20. BTW, there are around 400K members of the LDS Church in Texas. I'm sure a majority of those are in the DFW area.
  21. Well, there's your problem. You're trying to understand something that has, since its inception, been subjective, at least partly illogical and always lacking in enough data. Even on-field results are arguably "subjective" in a game where officiating can play a huge role, as can all sorts of other circumstances. It's played by humans, who are remarkably consistent in their inconsistency. That's just sport. Also -- though I generally like Tech compared to most of, for instance, our original Big XII conference mates -- I have to say that "beating their drumb" in your OP is one of the most spectacular Freudian slips on Surly in recent memory. Thanks for that, @BluTechsan. 😆
  22. Yeah, I worked there for 8 weeks and loved every moment.
  23. that looks god awful
  24. You both sides pussy
