  1. Past hour
  2. Watching a banged up SF play and beat the Rams with Mac fucking Jones (a major reason Sark was hired as we know and touted a QB whisperer—course this was as an OC sitting in the mother fucking booth—and coordinating for Nick fucking Saban before NIL) I was feeling some major envy. About Shanahan. Dude even WR’d here. He’s a Horn. He has proven he can make Brock Purdy, Jimmy Grabaho and Mac Jones look amazing. I wish I touch be as simple as just convincing Sark to get in the booth. Maybe 🤔 those of you who have played at the QB position can say: but is it helpful to have the person calling plays on the sidelines (1) not take into account what you do well (2) not see what the defense is doing because he is on the sidelines (3) absolutely will not take what an opponent’s defense gives you (4) has NOT addressed glaring problems with the O-line. I am genuinely asking. If a HC is doing 1-4 above how well could you play as a QB? Wouldn’t you get injured a bunch? Wouldn’t you start rushing thru your progressions or holding onto the ball? Wouldn’t your fundamentals start to suffer bc you can’t even trust the play calls? Or your oline? Doesn’t Sark being Sark make it almost fucking impossible to be his QB? When he’s not solely responsible for being an OC calling plays up in the booth? How well did his other QB’s at Washington and USC pan out?
  3. When he was presented with opportunities to make plays he missed them, with the exception of the Wingo pass. And I’m saying he missed the ones that he threw to. I have a feeling on film review people are open that he’s missing repeatedly.
  4. Something just doesnt add up. No way this coaching staff looked at what we had in the offense (o line, arch, rbs, everything) and agreed they were all set Is our coaching staff that freaking regarded?
  5. Said it early in the game thread but what Florida was doing with its passing game, especially in the 1H reminded me a lot of the 2023 game against a moribund Houston team. We were playing off and they were smartly running a lot of short routes across the field, letting Lagway get completions to guys on the move, eat yards, keep the chains moving etc. Florida ran the ball a lot better than UH did that day.
  6. I'm a sinner for hoping Morton is hurt, right? I mean, the play already happened.
  7. Jordan Rodgers go fuck yourself
  8. I would like more strikes please.
  9. Almost 400 yards in the half, left about 21 points off the board. Smh
  10. I’m somewhat chuckling about this. 10 years ago we were misled by the developers that all of Mueller was zoned to Maplewood elementary and McCallum hs. We figured out that we were just east of a dividing line after plunking down a big deposit so we just rolled with it. There was such hypocrisy of people preaching to “east Muellerites” to happily send their kids to Blanton and Reagan/NE, while being uppity about their kids’ schools (or if they had money, sending their kids to private schools). Maplewood (and maybe McCallum) were too full to accept transfers so we were stuck. We ended up bailing to the burbs when our kids started school. Now the west muellerites can practice what they preached.
  11. Is he related to Larry?
  12. I thought having the most continuity in the country for a coaching staff was going to be an advantage for this team this season and why I was so high on them, on top of all the talent on the roster, but boy was I wrong. It’s on me for overlooking the obvious: 1. Flood has recruited like shit at O-Line We’ve made excuses for it ad nauseam the last 3 years because of the 22 class. This dude has taken nothing but fat losers and 1 good decent every year. Those chubby chickens are coming home to roost now. Aside from Brandon Baker (who was ranked in the top 40 in his class), the next highest-rated recruit we’ve landed on the OL over the last 4 seasons was Jaydon Chatman at 214 looking at On3 composite. I understand OL ranking is not perfect, but the rankings have to be trusted somewhat. All you need to do is look at our 22 class for proof of that with where DJ and Banks were ranked. There is talent we are passing over and it’s killing us now. Not to mention, backbreaking, drive-killing penalties. More on that later. 2. Banks has let the special teams unit regress year after year We saw it last year with the FG kicking situation and trotting a punter out there that was lucky to get it 30 yards downfield. I mean, we basically hold our breath every time special teams hits the field now, just hoping they don’t fuck up. A good play for them is pretty much just catching a punt—which we can’t even seem to do now since they just let them roll past them for an extra 15 yards every time. I can’t find stats on this, but I can almost guarantee we have more roughing the kicker/running into the kicker penalties in the last 4 years than we do blocked punts. 2021 was an anomaly and we just need to see it as that now. We have blocked fewer punts year over year since 2021. We have consistently had poor field position due to bad decisions on KO and punt returns. Looking at the stats, I think we have 1 return over 30 yards on KO in the last 2 seasons. We’ve got the dude giving out scholarships to long snappers out of high school and his unit is doodooing all over itself like the monkey he’s got caged up at his house. 3. Quarterbacks have not been getting better We saw it with Quinn and blamed him. Now it seems to be more like a systemic issue. The longer these guys are here, the worse they’re getting. Who’s to blame—Sark, Milwee, the boogeyman, Russia? I don’t know. 4. Motherfucking penalties These have been here since the beginning. I don’t know why I thought they’d suddenly go away now. As people have stated before, this is a feature of this team, not a bug. It starts with the O-Line, and now it feels like a virus infecting the rest of the team. Since 2021, this team has racked up more penalties per game each season and has never been better than 55th in the country in penalties per game: 2021 – 55th 2022 – 66th 2023 – 98th 2024 – 87th (but bottom 5 in total penalties) 2025 – 128th (and will probably be bottom 3 after this week) 5. Red Zone Offense Before today we were 110th in red zone conversions. Last year 101st. 2023, 90th. We knew this issue the last 2 seasons and I’m not convinced it’s getting fixed this year either Just like me after I had a few too many at Maggie Mae’s in college — we can’t finish. It’s becoming clear that this is the identity of these units and the team as a whole. Something needs to change or else things will continue to unravel at an uncomfortable speed. We thought we could lean on our defense this season to carry water for a young and volatile offense, but that premise was shattered into a million pieces today by Simple Sunbelt Billy Napier. Now we have to ask ourselves: what does this team do well? On offense, I can’t name one thing right now. Defense will probably bounce back, but this team has no margin for error moving forward now.
  13. Someone with Twitter/X needs to send one to CDC and tell him we aren't happy with the product on the field. The man actually reads and listens to the fans. I would, but, uh, I'm kind of banned. Long story.
  14. So if and when we part ways with Sark, throw all the monies at Dan Lanning or nah?
  15. Someone ask chat gpt why our offense has regressed from avant-garde to Greg David
  16. Wat? Have you not seen this o-line play?
  17. I'm still trying to work that one out in my head to where it makes some sense. So if that's th deal, then why don't defenders just pull offensive players' helmets off all the time in that situation?
  18. Are you portaling in 5 new o-lineman mid-season? Because the guys we have can’t punch their way out of a wet paper bag.
  19. If the offense does not get it figured out, don't be surprised when we see guys portal from the D.
  20. I was hoping you were wrong unfortunately he has not proven you wrong at all
