  1. Past hour
  2. It wasn't just the slur, it was the whole sentence: "all the hunters gather up, we have a #$%&er in the whitehouse"
  3. I'm remembering Harvey differently then. I thought it had hit the Corpus area then pushed back out into the Gulf where it parked itself for about three days. Houston saw rain for longer than those three days of course but I don't think it was parked the whole time
  4. ...but too late. THIS is how it was done right. It was about 1 a.m. on the Fourth of July when the facilities manager at a central Texas summer camp saw water from the Guadalupe River steadily rising amid a deluge of rain. Aroldo Barrera notified his boss, who had been monitoring reports of the storms approaching Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly, a recreation destination where an intercultural youth conference had been called off early just hours earlier. https://www.newsnationnow.com/weather/texas-flooding-camp-evacuations/amp/
  5. Sauber sitting firmly mid-pack. Pretty damn impressive how they got their shit together. The Audi hires making an impact.
  6. Pretty low bar there buddy. Ahhh... which aspect am I referring to? I really don't give a shit, which is code for I care a lot. But hey, at least you're not as stupid as me, nttiawwt.
  7. They were aware and executing their evacuation plan. Do you not agree?
  8. Or the more than $500M they've given to COTA, so far. COTA, who lies their asses off re: attendance to justify it, and which isn't actually eligible for the subsidy in the first place etc, etc.
  9. What is your evidence that Camp Mystic was not being complacent? I'd argue that teenage counselors waking up to chest deep water and in some cases losing their lives while rescuing little kids (some of whom were not rescued) casts a little doubt on that assertion, at least for now.
  10. Yeah, dude has been plagued with injuries in his biggest career moments. Sucks
  11. Are you equating dropping a hat during a signing day ceremony to dropping an N bomb on facebook or twitter? Just normal immaturity? L. O. L if so.
  12. He did. Maybe they've talked about it in drivers meetings since then. I really think the track conditions played a big role in this one.
  13. And the kids were in the process of being evacuated at Mystic. The problem IN BOTH CASES Is they didnt get the jump early enough. Dead kids either way. Its a pointless argument, just put me on ignore, you seem to have pudding for brains.
  14. Pot O Gold Christian COMFORT, Texas — On July 17, 1987, along the Guadalupe River near Comfort, Texas, rescuers worked to airlift teenagers trapped in trees after a wall of water washed them away. It happened when a caravan of buses attempted to escape from a church camp through a low water crossing after an overnight storm. When their bus stalled, they formed a human chain to try and walk out, only to have a wall of water scatter them into the raging river.
  15. C/P from the help page wanted to drop it here too. Following up a bit to what @West Kerr Horn noted above. Spoke with @InkaUtexas who was out there. In good news, the supplies and need for people is well met at this point. He sent me a pic which I will post below. Based on his information it sounds like there isn't a ton of structure nor infrastructure damage. There was a ton of resources from Federal, State and other broad local Texas assistance. There is not currently a need for people nor resources, again based on information from Inka while on site. This may change but its the current reality. In emergency response there are 3 points as a volunteer. 1) Don't add to the issues 2) If you're not contributing you're in the way. 3) If you fall into area 1 or 2, leave. Sounds harsh, but its truth. Inka and his friend found themselves as #2 so they are choosing #3. I told him I would provide this update so I am. Here is 1 pic of all the water at a single location of which there were about 10. First responders had no place to store more goods. They legitimately had too much stuff.
  16. Yes instead of trying to get a dynasty season together we just need a bracket with the usernames that want in. Funny thing will be picking teams but nothing a digital coin flip can’t solve each game.
  17. The friends of my kids who went to Mystic def weren’t bible thumper families and this is over the past 10 years to current (now counselor) fwiw. Pine Cove is the one that comes to mind for being churchy and it wasn’t terrible. one of my boys went there for a few years. Had no interest in being a counselor so stopped prior to CIT 1 year
  18. for purposes of accurately assigning blame in the hopes change could occur I agree the NWS did it's job and the cuts had no impact ... this time. now let's talk about Kerr County, local municipalities, state responsibility, camp responsibility, and starte making sure we don't have to deal with this level of gross negligence again. oh wait this is the Great State of Texas... nevermind...
  19. Which camp?
  20. They damn sure cared what Buck Burnette immaturly posted on social media.
  21. Strange? This camp was obviously not being complacent.

  23. Harvey lasted for 6 fucking days. Tonight at midnight or so will be the end of day 4. Dago beat me to Allison.
  24. You might have missed the latest about face in which they realized budget cuts might have hampered things, so now they're all in on "NWS was not only adequately staffed but in some cases overstaffed, and did their job". The hypocrisy is blinding, and I'm aready Stevie Wonder at this point.
