  2. 1) The TDP and most of the current state candidates I have heard speak all put some combination of healthcare, education, public safety and jobs as their package but then wraps it in a "not right vs left, but top vs bottom" argument. Talarico has been using that and the whole false christian thing, which seems to be speaking to a lot of people. Maybe we need a WWJD vs WWDJT do? set of memes. This is the message the DNC needs to start pushing, working people's problems and those who are at the root of them. Inequality of wealth distribution will bring Trump down, or bring down this country, or both. We are so have been made spoiled and greedy by a society that has allowed marketing to convince us that our worth is in what we have, not what we do. All we have to do is look like we have a little bit more than a couple of our neighbors, then we are good to go. And now they used our majority religion to do that, which makes it even worse (swing back to Talarico). 2) I wanted change. I wanted Bernie to usher in the anti-Tea Party movement. I went to my first convention to carry our county's meager votes for Bernie. When that failed, I held my nose while I voted for Hillary. I did some research into Trump and tried to be unbiased, but there was just too much in his history to let me ever vote for him. But people at that time wanted wholesale changes in DC and Trump promised that. Remember 'drain the swamp?" He's doing that now, draining it of everyone who knows how a government should work and replacing them with Trump sycophants. He didn't say that last part out loud in his run up to 2016.
  3. Kid Rock looks like a white Michael Irvin
  4. I enjoyed it. The Rock really did Mark Kerr justice. The violence of those early fights were just brutal. Emily Blunt was good as well. Annoying a bit at times with the self-centered stuff, but she had good chemistry with him. Having actual fighters portraying the main two opponents was cool too.
  5. Wordle 1,570 3/6 🟩⬛⬛🟩🟩 🟩⬛🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  6. I agree. Older generations don’t unfortunately
  7. Maybe they will be targeting the performers and crew at the SB moreso than the ticketholders. I would think it would make more of a splash if the halftime show was cancelled or half assed because they detained enough "suspected immigrants." "Aww, that's too bad that Bad Bunny can't go on, here's Lee Greenwood and Kid Rock for the real patriots."
  8. I’m almost 38, but I’m cranky and crotchety like a 68 year old; a talent I’m quite proud of.
  9. Today
  10. Not sure if y'all were paying attention, but Florida did the exact same thing to us last year. They ran for over 200 yards last year despite being down big the entire game.
  11. Surprisingly Trump did actually mention OBL and predicted a future terrorist attack in that 2000 book. In separate chapters. Pre 9/11, most Americans couldn’t have named OBL but his name and terrorist background was known to people who cared to know and not a secret. as for Trump mentioning Hegseth in this speech segment, he must have tripped over his words or memory combining his old book with talking to Hegseth in the last few days. When my dad went thru dementia he often exhibited similar confusion. also important to remember that Trump never wrote his own books. It’s probably a 99.999% chance that the ghost author inserted that info and Trump never even read it.
  12. Have not seen it. Let me see if I recognize any of the people in it. Dormer I remember from GoT and Lynch I have seen in shows before. The rest of the cast does not quickly come to mind. If it has made it three seasons it is probably worth a watch though.
  13. What's wrong with tattoos and nose rings? A small tattoo on the back of the neck or a tastefully done sleeve is
  14. Unforgotten Season Six was fantastic in all the ways that show is consistently good. The writers of that show are just great at their job. How they connect all the different lives together into one ending each season is absolutely brilliant.
  15. Basically what the majority of the game looked like
  16. I can get behind an idea related to refunds for freshmen dropouts. They shouldn’t get credits and a refund but if UT didn’t convince them it was worth to return, why not offer a one time satisfaction guarantee.
  17. @TxEx84 @BurntEyes and I are still discussing the group meet up at Bear and Butcher. @immamac says there will also be a surly tailgate as well.
  18. Probably not too expensive for road construction companies to buy influence via donations to a mayoral campaign. And metro hasn’t had good ideas or the ability to sell them in a while. They can’t get much support from commuters/drivers because it’s rarely better to take metrorail over driving. Perhaps it’s cheaper to take the rail but only if your time isn’t of value to you or money is a concern.
  19. Glad that they’re actually making a sequel as opposed to unoriginal or lazy idea to go with a remake. It will be interesting to see how they make it work especially given that Star Wars isn’t as much in the fore front as it was even in ‘87. IMO or at least from my perspective at the time. They can’t really spend much time making fun of Star Wars elements today. I’m sure they can go with a baby yoda/mandalorian reference or joke but a joke with the original, prequel or even sequel would be dated. (Yes, I know the last sequel was only released 6 years ago. I looked it up. does anyone really care about the sequels?)
  20. Thank you. Sark’s player development has been solid. Best we’ve had in 20 years.
