Michael Taaffe wants you to stop being such fucking pussies.

Nothing he’s getting defensive over the offense and arch siting next to him. Defense played great and would play even greater if the offense and arch could score just a couple of touchdowns. -

Texas's performance on the field notwithstanding, immamac is having a great season. -
Whatever you do, do not go rewatch the game from yesterday. I forced myself and it’s worse the second time around.

i literally posted a factual recounting of his plays. i suppose you think i was also “shitting on him” when i posted the PFF ratings. -
It's a fair and reasonable question. To my way of thinking there is a lot of shit a college HC has to due these days that are much more brand, PR, high level NiL glad handing, high level recruiting engagement, fan engagement, etc etc. Most of it has nearly nothing to do with football. One cool logically argue a lot of this should be handled by the GM and absolutely some should but not most. A good college program has a coach who is a CEO sort of guy these days. Good broad stroke and direction ideas. Good with big money folks. Good speach/team motivator. Good at engaging refs or voters as needed for CFP votes or calls in game. Good at PR for enforcing, enhancing and growing brand awareness. Good at getting fans in seats and watching TV sets. They, of course do this in tandem with the Athletics Director who is the CEO of the entire Corp with football being the big money division. Then they bring in, particularly if money allows and it does at Texas, the most inventive OCs, DCs, and various position folks. Bring the best recruiters and talent evaluating folks they can find in various regions, at various player positions and various states. That is a LOT. All of that is a big reason Saban left. It's not coaching football, it picking good delegates and being a politician. And... you know what, I think Steve Sarkisian would be absolutely excellent at all of those tasks. So... that's my answer. Sark needs to quit coaching at Texas and become the politician, glad handing, money raising, Ref and voter influencing HC Texas needs and deserves. Sark need to do honest searches for the best person at every position under him. He needs to hold them accountable, hold himself accountable and fire anyone that isn't producing at top level, quickly. That, it what Steve should do. That's what all great college head coaches should do, imo. Those that don't will, in the near future, become dinosaurs. Those that do will win championships.

Student fees don’t have to go to athletics. That’s a university’s call, and if student’s complain enough they can get an opt out. It’s Florida and they are gutting higher ed, so I see why that is happening there. -
What about the defense was a shitty performance?

Arky scored 42 points on aggy……42 points!

Max is a wizard. Final lap, leads Norris by just over 7 seconds.

No offense to you personally, but I'm so sick of people bringing up mechanics when any QB fails. I'm not denying the importance of proper throwing motion, but just the use of that as a catchall for QB problems. Mechanics does do much for a QB who can't complete a simple pass to a wide-open receiver. It doesn't do much for a QB struggling to know where to look. It doesn't do much for a QB that is late to launch. I don't know that it counts as part of footwork, but if not, it won't cure that problem either. If the QB needs to get the ball out of his hand more efficiently after making a read, sure. If a QB needs more zip or tighter accuracy, sure. I don't think it's the place to start with a QB who fails at the things I name. If a QB has already shown he can throw, and fails at the things I name, the problem is surely not mechanics.

All the talking heads had the Broncos in this game did they not? It’s early but it would make me happy even tho I’m not a Giants fan if Dart and Boo came out of Mile High with a W

This summer the Florida system in general got a court decision allowing schools to reach beyond that fee and redirect other student-derived fees to athletics. Texas as a state is not better, this is just an indicator of where the whole thing has gone off the rails for most schools. -
