Game Week Thread Citrus Bowl, Dec 31st - Texas vs Michigan.

Michael Terry was ranked a 5* athlete, I imagine he'll get touches at RB, as will Ryan Niblett. Between those two and the 2RB still on roster we will have 4 deep who can rush. What i don't have calculated is if this game will violate any RS participation max, as that would alter things. Overall Im really looking forward to a bunch of new faces getting PT.

The homes during the 1st quarter of the most notorious game thread pussy bleeders.

Just a guess, but I'd say Nebraska given the red, the olds, and the time period it appears to be from.

I'll buy a Cybertruck when they start making kits to repower them with a SBC. -
It represents the hole in Charlie Kirk's neck. NEVER FORGET!

I was disappointed we didn’t get to play Kansas in the Covid year. Hell, I was disappointed in the years we weren’t worthy of a bowl appearance. I enjoyed myself quite a damn bit sitting in DKR chanting, with a few others during the Kansas game in 1997, “Stay Ricky Stay.” It was cold. It was a terrible season. Maybe it was meaningless for many. It wasn’t for me. I’ll be ready to watch the Citrus Bowl and be disappointed I’m not there. I can live with being a moron for those to be meaningful.

Trust me, I understand that Texas cannot win a national championship every year. I can find enjoyment in a season that doesn't result in a championship. I enjoyed multiple games this season very much. That still doesn't mean our leadership shouldn't do everything possible to try to win a championship.

LMAO. Last I checked, Arch is going to be the QB next season. Smith and Barnes will get significant time at LB. You're complaining about players portalling out and a lack of development opps in the same post. You know many of the players who will receive PT next season are playing in this bowl game, right? The extra practice and in-game reps are great for us. The chicken littles are out in full force, today.

Texas’ brand isn’t being damaged by playing a bowl game against Michigan. I thought you had some form of background in marketing, therefore having at least a tangential understanding how brands and branding work? Good grief. In the same post you somehow then argue that Texas should have pussied out and stayed home. Who has done that? Notre Dame. Do you know who is actively having their brand devalued due to poor leadership decisions? Notre Dame. They did what you propose, numbnuts. There is no cabal. I didn’t neg you, that I recall, at least. You had bad takes and people collectively ran you over for them. It takes no organization. It’s crowdsourced board policing. It must not have felt good because you whine about it constantly and you’ve now apparently formed a conspiracy theory to rationalize it all. Get a fucking grip.

I'm a fan, but I'm a bigger fan of Surlyhorns, and I'm looking forward to lots of funny posts about this embarrassing football game.

Anyone know when this game was and who we played?

Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - This Is Fine

My take was clever at best and whimsical at worst. I changed my handle once because people offended by my posts were starting to figure out who I was in real life. You know , people that take this board way too seriously? Lighten up Francis. -
I think the dramatic increase in transfer starter snaps for Texas in 2026 has more to do with staff misevaluations and recruiting missies than it does NIL/CFB Roster Management. This is what failure looks like. Lots of turnover and patching of issues. A player like Tre leaving does leave a bad taste in your mouth though. What a dog. Absolute nails. Legendary Longhorn, but he also has to maximize his opportunities.
