  1. Past hour
  2. Not a rhetorical question - How much time do we think Sark actually spends coaching the QBs? Like, is he in the meeting room with them every day or is Milwee leading all of that? I suspect the latter given all the other head coach responsibilities. Also - yeah Guilbeau has been the biggest weak spot on defense by far. Teams aren't even throwing at MM and Littleton has been solid. Guilbeau has been overmatched every game. Maybe the other backups suck but sure seems like Guilbeau should move back to slot behind Littleton.
  3. Women weaken legs……and apparently arms too
  4. So..... Blue and Mazi are inactive again. If Jaylon can't beat out Miles Sanders, then it says a lot about the personnel and coaching staff. That's ugly. We also made Ty Smith the highest paid IDL in the league..... So now we have 3 of the highest paid players at their position. Somehow I don't think Micah was about money...... This had been in the works for months and actually drops the Cowboys salary cap by about 10m.
  5. a battle of the titans coming in 3 weeks. coaches and QB's.
  6. Arch has the yips. He needs to see a sports psychologist asap. Maybe even reach out to Simone Biles for advice and a referral. The good news is this can be addressed but he and/or Sark needs to do so asap.
  7. Too much disturbing news. Everyone needs to relax, chill and find a hobby. I again recommend target shooting as fun for the whole family. Get yourself some ARs, some paper targets that looked like criminals, a good picnic lunch - and take the whole family out to the country to shoot paper and recreate as a family.
  8. Can we also add a question for the board about whether or not Sark either needs to be in the booth if he stubbornly refuses to give up play calling? Or a question about whether or not he needs to hire a real OC and focus on being the HC? I just never see him giving this up and doing the same thing and expecting different results but I think it would be interesting from a POLL perspective where the surly collective is. Bc even if Arch is replaced I don’t see our offensive woes improving, sorry I do not. Maybe we get better play if Arch ain’t the guy but at the end of the day we have had the same offensive coordinator for 5 years in Sark and the offensive is his thing and it looks bad. And it’s not just this year, the defense on the other hand looks great. Does sark truly not see this?
  9. It doesn’t matter what I think. The NFL thought he was a 7th RD pick and barely rosterable. The fact of the matter is Quinn’s stock fell at Texas, and Manning is currently on the same trajectory. That will be the narrative outside the program whether we like it or not
  10. I highly recommend watching this if you are vague on groypers. I'd looked up the term a few times. This is a clear description.
  11. It is very frustrating flipping channels and seeing offenses that effortlessly move the ball. Even if they are awful like Florida and largest with 5 ints, they move it for a while. There are open receivers and they catch the ball. People get hit in stride. There are holes made for running backs. The running backs break tackles. We seem so stuck in neutral.
  12. Both Thompson and Card looked their best under Sark imo. With Ewers there was too much injury derailments that hindered his true development. I’ll die on the hill that Ewers was a good to great Qb(not elite!) when healthy and average at best when dealing with any type of injury. Just the nature of who he was as a player which was frustrating to watch. I also think the pro style offense we run really challenges QB’s processing ability. Someone like Ewers would have looked way better in a simpler offense like the Air Raid but the readiness wouldn’t have been there at the next level. I think it was confirmed the style of offense Sark runs played a big role in the Manning’s decision to pick Texas. Ewers’ first year starting in the offense was rough and real bad at times. Maybe we’re witnessing that with Arch on top of the complete circus going on between his ears. So, I’m not ready to fire the alarm bells with Sark and the QB’s, yet. If the reports from Bobby and Gerry are true, that everyone inside the building is completely flummoxed about Arch on game days, then Sark needs to let the kid breathe. It seems to be complete mental execution with Arch. If we could be a fly on the wall during film today, I’d bet Arch is relaying exactly what Sark needs to hear from a guy that’s struggling.
  13. Remember all the arguments in the Quinn thread? Only 1 of 3 possibilities exist. 1) Arch is and always has been shit and nobody in all of his professional level personal training in HS and college, family of NFL QBs or 2 full fucking years at Texas under Sark caught that reality. So for 2 fucking years and 2 games played Sark didn't see the issues and make plans/moves in the portal or otherwise for a good alternative. 2) Arch was great but was absolutely hampered upon arrival at Texas by the coaching staff. We saw a 5 star and NFL drafted QB slowly lose his self confidence, execution and leadership under this staff. It might well be that the time he spent at OSU made him as good as he was since the performance curve dropped the longer he was here. Also, it may be that the offensive game plan didn't fit his abilities well and Sark was stuffing a square peg in a round hole. All of these could absolutely be true for Arch and there is a very clear example of it occurring here already. 3) Arch is hurt and the staff is keeping it under wraps as the alternative options are even worse. Remember this exact same argument in the Ewers thread? Well, it turns out to be true. Those are the 3 options, and there are no others. Ever single fucking one of them points to shitty head and offensive coaching work. All of them.
  14. arch should get 1 series and if he can't complete passes then sark has to pull him it's down to that
  15. Well, maybe he should try throwing it through this--swinging--and on the run. They say it worked for some guy named Sammy Baugh . . .
  16. Damn. This is painfully perfect.
  17. ... but I knew what you meant. Class of '83 here. This post was ...
  18. I don't buy it either, but if it's not an injury then it's 100% a mental thing, that could, in theory, solve itself. Different than a QB who has never shown anything to be positive about. Of course, this could be a thing he can't shake in which case, we're proper fucked.
  19. Can you imagine living next door to this guy and you build a fence a quarter inch over the properly line? It would be pure HELL I tell you! Hell!!!
  20. Best analogy I've seen yet: "Sark is a songwriter who can't sing."
  21. At this point I’m just waiting for a 3 interception game against a conference opponent to kick off the Garrett Gilbert comps
