  1. Its all good. We can have him transfer back here after he gets some experience at the minor league level.
  2. In your experience, what percentage of bench warrants are able to be resolved without an arrest? In my experience, I would say about 80% of the time a defendant later voluntarily comes into court, the BW is recalled. So, unless you're willing to give me some pretty good odds, I'm not touching that bet.
  3. what meds was this guy not taking?
  4. but now that you bring it up, is there a money printer we could lend Ukraine? I like that idea
  5. I read your post and immediately the NBA on NBC jingle popped into my head
  6. That's perfect. All Houston area press conferences should be held in front of that backdrop. Flat, Concrete, overgrown median, warehouse. All it's missing is the mosquitos.
  7. How in the world is that a justified shooting? Unarmed man shot in the back leaving a scene?
  8. There are reasons why the DAs try most high profile and media cases downtown - its where the their "best" prosecutors are, the building is equipped to handle the media and the accompanying logistical issues, and its the center of criminal justice center in LA County. Not to mention, no way in hell they were going to try the case in front of an all-white jury in Santa Monica after the Rodney King Trial and resulting riots. The Santa Monica courthouse is a tiny, run-down building that never could have accommodated the traveling circus that came with the case.
  9. That's weird. I've seen hundreds of lowly, everyday people perjure themselves on the stand and not once have I seen one even charged with perjury, much less convicted one of our local legal experts is going to need to explain why the system seems to be only working against the wealthy.
  10. Ah, a fellow football board enthusiast
  11. The Anti-Social Network: From Memes to Mayhem covers the path from 4chan to anonymous to Qanon. Pretty political so be warned, but amazing to see how these geeky outcasts had such a massive impact on both culture, media, and politics.
  12. So she became a Qanon adherent 3 years before running for any political office to lay the groundwork for a future run, but she never really believed in it?
  13. hmm, i should give that a shot
  14. Any money left in the wreath fund? Could hire a PI and destroy this guy's life. Just thinking out loud.
  15. funny, i make the same face every time i visit this thread
  16. I agree with the MIL tactic, but given what we've seen from Cannon thus far, she won't rule on it and just say that the jury instructions will be given to the jury when the time comes. Can you get to the 11th when a judge continues to say "I haven't made any ruling yet."
