I'm preparing for the annual 2nd round loss by the Caps.  To me, this is really when hockey begins.

It may happen again, but for the Caps to win the Metro division after losing as many guys as they did is pretty ridiculous. National consensus was they would be a bubble team.

Flyers might as well save themselves the humiliation and forfeit the next three games.  They are not winning one game in this series.  Once one team gets inside the other team's head that series is over.  Pittsburgh is in Philadelphia's head.  Hell, the Flyers goalies are in Philadelphia's head.  On the plus side their playoffs will be over before any more of their goalies have a chance to get hurt again.

For now, I'll chalk this up to pro athletes having enough pride not to be humiliated every single playoff game. Definitely being more careful with puck possession while maintaining their aggressiveness. Hope it becomes a typical NHL long series

Meh, nothing in the palm leaves forecasted that.  I'd still be willing to bet the only reason Elliot doesn't give up at least five goals in the next game will be because he gets pulled or hurt after the fourth one.

I can't imagine anyone is going to be happy about seeing Winnipeg on their upcoming travel plans.  I have to think that whoever survives between L.A., Anaheim, Vegas, and San Jose is going to be rooting for Colorado/Nashville to win a seven game series against the Jets.  Whatever team that takes them out is probably going to be so beat up they won't have a chance in the next series.  I think there are a lot of hockey players in the Western Conference that would rather get a hand job from a porcupine then play a seven game series against Winnipeg.

Caps with another epic meltdown. Laughable.

At least I won't waste any more money on round 2 tickets for the caps. Just a pitiful franchise.

and predictable

So how would everyone feel about this sentence.   "And the coach of your Dallas Stars, Barry Trotz."
