  1. Maybe they’ll find Saddam’s WMDs under there. Or whatever was supposed to be in Al Capone’s vault.
  2. It sounds great but I don’t play it nearly enough. Looks real purty though.
  3. That thunderous sound you hear is the forced laughter of a thousand humorless fat 50-something white dudes recording YouTube rants from the cab of their Punisher decal-covered leased F-150s.
  4. Exactly. All those door-to-door atheist evangelists drive me nuts. AM radio and cable TV are full of atheist channels and shows, preaching the non existence of God round the clock and begging for donations from their gullible audience. It seems like everywhere you go these days, there’s another atheist temple: United Atheists here, Seventh Day Atheists there. Oh look, the Southern Atheists are setting up shop down the street right next to the Church of Christ Mythicists. Just drive up I-35 to Dallas and you quickly lose count of all the atheist billboards proclaiming things like “THERE IS NO GOD” and “STOP BELIEVING FAIRY TALES.” Our school board meetings are overrun with loud, belligerent atheists demanding that children be taught that God is dead. Not to mention all those atheists who leave copies of Cristopher Hitchens books in motel nightstands. It’s like America is covered in a thick smog of atheist noise pollution.
  5. Replying to Your Own Post The amount of energy and storage required to operate a message board is directly proportional to the number of active posters. An effective conservation measure is replying to your own posts. This minimizes the number of posters involved in a conversation while maintaining the appearance of discourse. But what happens when other posters notice? Will they participate, thereby offsetting the initial energy savings from replying to your own post? Will they even go so far as to reply satirically, jokingly mimicking your self-replying format? These are difficult questions, so I will address the answers in a subsequent post.
  6. Senator Scott said some dumb bullshit about how he “believes” there are thousands of terrorist cells in the country because some people from Yemen moved here. It was impressively racist wildly speculative fear mongering. Dude didn’t even pretend to have facts to back it up. Just “I believe this stupid horseshit.” And don’t even get me started on the Party of Free Speech promising to deport people who express controversial views. Politicians all suck to a degree, but the GOP are all just a bunch of stupid assholes.
  7. Nice. I played stand-up bass in the Merchant Marine Jazz Band back in ‘93. But if I had to do it all over again, I’d try out for the Navy Seal Chamber Orchestra or the Army Signals Intelligence Dueling Piano Revue.
  8. If it makes you feel better, I’ve been saying the following prayer every night for years: ”Dear Lord, listen not to the prayers of slorch’s sanctimonious coworker. In fact: whatever that guy asks you to do, please do the opposite. This I pray. Amen.”
  9. Quanah sat down close to him and said 'Move over.' Miller moved. Parker moved with him, and again sat down close to him. ‘Move over,’ he repeated. This continued until Miller had fallen off the log. 'Like that,' said Quanah.
  10. “This is where the shark lives.”
  11. My son and I caught part of the Rifftrax 2019 SF Sketch Fest episode the other night on Pluto. The animated PSA from the LA Sheriff’s department is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while, and the British PSA about power line safety was almost as good. Lately, The Starfighters, Danger, Death Ray!, The Legend Of Boggy Creek 2, and Cave Dwellers have all been in heavy rotation.
  12. @Brisketexan - Read this paper. Antisemitic attitudes are low on the left, especially compared to the right. And they are lower on the far left than in the center left. The idea that there’s a strain of antisemitic thought on the far left is unfounded. The idea that any antisemitism on the far left is even remotely in the ballpark of the far right — or anywhere else on the political spectrum — is just absurd bullshit. Antisemitism exists. But the far left is the group least prone to it.
  13. “Unless Saudi Arabia kills an American. If that happens, I’ll kiss their leaders’ asses.”
  14. See my previous post. That kick was pure karma.
  15. I felt really bad for the dude lying on the ground out cold from a kick to the head while on the ground… until I rewatched the video and saw that he attempted (and whiffed) a similar bitch move a few seconds earlier. And then I read the article and it looks like the knocked out dude was a PARENT. And if you watch closely, he jumped in to attack a guy who was sucker punched by another parent who also sucker punched a player. Dipshit got what he deserved. Karma, motherfucker.
  16. So he’s a gnostic who realizes that Jesus was a fictional allegorical character?
  17. Agreed, but to be clear: he’s not the second best guitarist from Fleetwood Mac, either.
