  1. I'm not at home where I normally watch, any solid link would be appreciated.
  2. My brother-in-law passed away yesterday. He had some kind of cardiac event a week ago and stopped breathing, my sister was working from home and was able to call 911 & start CPR. They had to put him into a medically induced coma, as he wasn't getting enough oxygen and was having seizures. Things started to look like they were improving over the last couple of days, then they said that was it, they couldn't do anything to save him. I still don't understand what happened. The worst part is that he was only 57, he had so much life left. He was a great man. Loved and cared for my sister for 17 years. Served his country in the Marine Corps for 22 years. Busted his ass to get a masters degree and took every education/training course his job would offer. But he was so humble, you'd never hear him talk about himself or make himself appear to be some kind of big shot, even though he was. My sister didn't expect to be a widow at 50. She's handling it as well as she can but it's so hard. My dad is just crushed, he loved my BIL so much. They shared that bond that retired military vets have. I'm struggling with the reality of this, I just can't believe it happened. It feels exactly the same as when my mother died. This is a bullshit carnival ride and I want to get off.
  3. Man, that kick was loud.
  4. I never signed those release papers. They'll be hearing from my attorney, pronto.
  5. After my daughter tested positive, my wife and other daughter got tested and the results are back: wife is negative, daughter is positive. I got tested today but I think I'm in the clear.
  6. I really enjoy Rob Lowe's podcast. There's lots of "inside baseball" stuff about acting and hollywood, and all the roles he turned down/didn't get, that I find facinating. And he's pretty funny. The story of his "Footloose" audition is hilarious.
  7. My ex-wife and her husband tested positive on 12-22. One of my daughters goes back and forth between our houses, so she got tested the next day and her results were negative. The ex left town to isolate and my kid isolated in her room until we got the results bank. Fast forward to 1-1, she's got a cough, sore throat, and feels like shit, no fever. She isolates in her room, only comes out while masked, gets tested yesterday. Well, she tested positive. My wife and the other kid got tested today, as they spent more time together than I do. I'm going to wait a few days and see how I feel before getting tested. Now I'm working at home until further notice. Wife's been WAH for months now, no change for her. Kids can't go to work at all for a while. Fuck.
  8. I don't see why they'd put the final four in Lucas if there's no fans, why would they need all that room?. Having it in Hinkle would be amazing.
  9. First time I saw those ads with the "Capital One Cafe", I thought it was one of those Energizer ads, where the bunny would show up out of nowhere. Who wants to spend time in the fucking bank? I try to go as little as possible, I don't want to hang out and buy drinks there.
  10. It seems like Alec is trying his best, they have 5 kids. Maybe he needs to tag out and let someone else give it a try. I'm available most weekends.
  11. Back-up QBs are known Poke killers. I'm concerned. Edit: I'm not sure about 3rd stringers....
  12. I've been a Pokes fan for 30+ years. This game is far from over.
  13. While I had a good laugh at this, I must say that it's better than fat chicks on dating apps who's profile pic is 8-10 years old and taken when they were skinny.
  14. It's hard to top Bob Simmons and his back to back wins but this would do it. I hope UM has the guts to go for it.
  15. Yes.
  16. LOL no offense but this is ridiculous.
  17. I was watching an episode of Nova about Jupiter and there was footage of the Pioneer and Voyager launches. My wife was casually watching and asked "Were those manned missions?". When I just quietly said no, she said "Well, I mean, we didn't land there, right? I mean, were there people on the ships or whatever?". Another quiet "No" from me and that was that. It was hard to keep from laughing out loud but I was strong.
  18. Agreed. I love watching "Sense and Sensibility" and don't care what anyone says. Hell, give me any Brit period piece, I'm down.
  19. I hate taking a shit a work but it hit me pretty hard yesterday and I had to do it. I sat down on the toilet and it was as cool as the other side of the pillow. A Christmas wish come true. Only thing better is when you open the bathroom door and all the lights are out because no one has been in there yet.
  20. She seems like a dumbass. I love-hate reading shit like this.
  21. I agree, if this is a large piece of meat that is intended to serve multiple people, it shouldn't be cooked to the preference of one person. I can't remember the last time I ate something like that, so the thought didn't cross my mind. I'm usually just ordering a steak at a restaurant.
  22. But if you never got to see them naked and never got to suck on them, WTF difference does it make? I could understand if I took your last steak without asking but not if I purchase my own steak and cook it however I like. I'll never understand why anyone cares how another person eats their steak.
  23. I work in state government. My boss starting working for the state the year before I was born. I am 47 years old. She doesn't know exactly what I do, nor how to do my job in the event that I wasn't around. She treats the women in our area with kid gloves and allows them to get away with murder. Meanwhile, my one other male co-worker and I are always treated with a sense of suspicion, like we're trying to get away with something. It's infuriating. That being said, she isn't a raving asshole. Just ignorant and (IMO) a misandrist. She doesn't micromanage and because of her ignorance, we can get things done without too much pushback. She just wants the credit, which I don't care about. I just want the proper results. None of us believe she'll retire, she'll die in her office. But if she did retire, I wouldn't be sad or happy. I don't really care. 13 years till retirement, y'all.
