  1. Wife and I started it a few days ago and have mowed through 6-7 eps and agree. Solid and entertaining
  2. I've got a handful of customers out on 529. Will make a lunchtime venture out soon! I've driven past that place like 50 times in the past year.
  3. Good. Hey bud. I saw that too...I was coming down Commonwealth and had the same thoughts. Must've been t-boned going through the intersection. Ford Escape or something similar I believe Nidda is bomb. Although they need to put more chicken in their curry
  4. Seriously. Tuesday night date til 2:30a? Not my style, but must've been going well enough. Crazy how only the dude was hit and the girl was unscathed..figure the car takes both of them out?
  5. Saw the aftermath of this on my morning dog walk around 6:15ish. Westheimer was closed from Commonwealth (McDonald's) to Waugh. Figured it was fatal, given the police and firetruck...and street closure. Didn't realize it was a pedestrian until I saw the story.
  6. Furloughed in December, finally received an offer this week. New industry, so a little scared but excited to learn and think there could be some growth here. Over the last couple months, I grew into the habit of blindly applying via LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter etc. Jobs which I was a "perfect fit" based on what they're looking for and my background in Acct Mgmt only to either get ghosted completely or get that automated rejection email. My only advice here to those of you still out there is to forget those websites and lean on your network. I didn't do it enough. The majority of interviews that progressed past an intro call were from friends/former colleagues. Best of luck to all of you looking. Keep the faith (as hard as it is)....It WILL happen! Hook 'em
  7. Built to Spill- Houston. Openers were solid too. Disco Doom and Oruã Oruã
  8. I had already stood in line for 40 minutes and didn't want to fuck with returning anything. gringo...young-ish kid
  9. 2 meat plate, got a slice of lean and a slice of moist
  10. Ended up waiting about 40 min...got there at 11:15 or so. Lean brisket was a little dry and the brisket in general while good, was cold. Like blow room temp cold. I expected to be blown away and was firmly underwhelmed with it. Spicy Pepperjack link was great a were the sides. I'll give them another shot in the future
  11. Nice. Was hoping you'd chime in. I needed a 2nd meat to go with my brisket too. Boom
  12. Hitting Truth today for the first time today...excited. Am I going to be SOL if I get there at 11:30? They open at 11 Side recs? I'm generally a potato salad/Mac/cheese guy..
  13. A week into the season and Surly be like
  14. If you're in Houston and got that crawfish itch and don't want to pay out the ass at some of the cajun/crawfish places...I recommend Cottonwood on Sat or Sun. They do $5/lb's and have $6 carafes of Mimosa or $6 select daft pitchers. Good sized and decent enough for 1/2 the price of other places. Their "carafes" and "pitchers" are fucking tiny, but still worth it
  15. Lucky for you, they're not really "country" Southern? Sure Kind of "country" the same way Skynyrd or the Allman Bros are. If you like loud, guitar driven rock shows...you'll have a good time.
  16. Not sure why you'd be cautiously looking forward to it. They're fucking awesome. Upcoming for me: 4/7 Built to Spill- White Oak 4/15 & 4/16 Widespread Panic- ACL ATX 6/16 Les Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade- White Oak
  17. A dog bite? At the Costco? Suzy....Call Dr. Bison...tell him "it's for me".
  18. Nice gesture, but the end of that article mentioning the Astros? Fuck off.
  19. Just for shits/giggles I looked this up. We had 10 fucking TE's on the roster in both 2008/2009. WTaF
