  1. I think I remember the sheriff getting in Winona Ryder’s pants. Oh wait, Running Up That Hill played a million times. I don’t remember why.
  2. "doesn't want to be rebel anyway". Yep, I think we established that today. Hot take.
  3. One thing I've noticed with the right-wing folks I know is that they all very easily fall for propaganda/misinformation/disinformation/fakes/hoaxes etc. Like all of them. One person they don't know posts something online and they treat it like gospel.
  4. I wish you would stop it with that weird and gross metaphor.
  5. Dotard was being all dramatic about officers being spit on by protesters. Like, "can you believe it??". Piece of shit pardoned hundreds of people who physically fought with cops for hours. Cops who were protecting our elected leaders and pretty much our way of life as we know it.
  6. In 2002 I knew someone looking for extras in some low budget sci fi movie being made in Austin. I showed up and they cast me as one of the aliens. It was only two days and I think I made $100. The movie was never released as far as I know, so it wasn’t like I was in a real movie. But I got to go through makeup and wardrobe and get coached on set, and then got to hear “action!” while I walked across a room and pointed at someone or something. Best I got.
  7. The little I saw of him on defense made me wonder if he’d make a better safety.
  8. I turned to MSNBC around 3:30 to watch the L.A. stuff. They were showing reruns from a few days ago. A 24 hour news channel, showing reruns of prior newscasts, in the middle of the afternoon on a pretty big news day. Is everything ok over there?
  9. It's a nice day in Austin today for a big heavy sweatshirt.
  10. Republicans go absolutely batshit for a decade+ at the imaginary prospect of a Democratic president doing ________ but are totally cool when a Republican president actually does it. This can just be copied and pasted into just about every thread in this forum, every day.
  11. 5’11 and 6’2, imo.
  12. It's a little too late now.
  13. ... who himself has no moral compass. The republican party everyone!
  14. Don’t normally watch softball. My thoughts: The ass on #5 is ridiculous.
  15. And REALLY fucking angry about what was happening. His interviews even before the movie came out were not subtle. He literally said that he had to pretend that he was playing Luke's brother, because he didn't recognize the character he was supposed to be playing. "Luke would never turn his back on his friends and family." Yeah no shit.
  16. They made a sequel trilogy to Star Wars. And had Mark Hamill alive and available. And that's what they did. Part of one movie, in one location. Then he killed himself.
  17. Didn't this happen yesterday?
  18. And now they're all dead, and died unhappy. Han was murdered by his son and Luke essentially committed suicide. Yay!
  19. Yep, for 150 years they've wanted a rectangular room in the White House, but no one ever knew how to do it. Also, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Room#:~:text=The East Room is an,ceremonies%2C concerts%2C and banquets.
  20. Seriously, I can already hear it. "Now I'm not saying I condone what he did. I don't. That's terrible. But no one is perfect, and I for one still support our president...."
  21. "He can't be trusted." I've been thinking a lot about this the last 24 hours, in a crazy pills/simulation kind of way. There is no "Imagine if Biden did this" equivalent to compare it to. I guess the closest thing would be if he gave Hunter the power to access literally anything he wanted in our government, destroy anything he wanted, etc. while being all coked up and telling us to just shut up and trust him. And then disowning him and telling us all he can't be trusted and that he has a serious drug problem. And in this case, we can't even get the question asked.
  22. Yeah I'm not saying half the country would suddenly be pro-pedo. But most of the cult members would suddenly be very open to the idea at worst, and very forgiving at best. "Hey some of those girls were like 16! They're practically adults! Give me a break...."
  23. I also remember when having a convicted felon as president was something everyone agreed was a bridge too far, even for Trump. Now that seems quaint.
  24. I have seen enough over the last decade to know with very high confidence that if we all learned that Trump has been having sex with children, attitudes towards that would instantly change 180 degrees for tens of millions of people.
  25. In fact, let's play this out. Let's say the dems do investigate. And let's say that we all learn with 100% confidence that Trump made many trips to the island, and had sex numerous times with underage girls. Do you know what would happen next? Everyone in his orbit would shift to a pro-pedo stance. Then you'd see arguments on cable tv over whether we should all be pro or anti pedo. Assholes like Scott Jennings on CNN would suddenly be openly talking about how ridiculous our age of consent laws are, etc.
