  1. Fantastic episode imo. Maybe the best one yet, either season. So much so that I was disappointed when in the post-episode recap they talked about many of the scenes being from the video game. Great storytelling with the flashbacks on how Ellie came to realize what happened in SLC and how her resentment for Joel grew. Loved also the call back to Joel's childhood, and psyched to see Lalo make an appearance. Also, a thought/prediction. I'm going to spoiler it, even though I'm a non game player and don't know what will happen
  2. I just finished last night and started reading the replies and bravo you said it much more succinctly than I could have. Also why do they alternately portray Ellie as a zombie killing badass and then a dumber than a 10 year old idiot when Dina is making battle plans. For the better part of an episode there, Dina was giving main character energy and Ellie was just the doofus sidekick. And then at the end she's Jason Bourne again. The plot is still good and interesting, and I still think Ramsey is a kick ass actor with plenty of good scenes. And I like Dina and think her character is well acted, too, but yeah the writers are forcing the relationship plot line a little too much right now imo. Less talking, more scissoring.
  3. The best part about KD absolutely annihilating Acho is that just yesterday he won some award for being the most media friendly player in the league.
  4. That stuffer is very similar to mine. It works. Not fun, not easy but I don't get the sense that has anything to do with the type or quality of the stuffer.
  5. I just want to say that I have been trying to incorporate 'innit?' into my every day vocabulary. I'm not sure how it's going. I think my wife would probably say not well.
  6. That's not outlawing zone blocking, it means you can't run running plays in short yardage situations. It's usually you have a set of downs to get to midfield, and another set of downs if you make midfield to get into the end zone. You can "punt" on 4th down (or 3rd if it's a 3 down league) by just giving the other team the ball back and they have to start from their own 10 or 20 yl. It's a good rule for the purposes of safety.
  7. Thank you for your input.
  8. Why does it seem like 50% of the time during these reviews we get a solid 2 minutes of analysis and slow mo replays, even a kick to Steve Javie in addition to the broadcast of the ref's ruling (hopefully it's Kennedy)? And the other half of the time they bullshit with each other about inane non related basketball topics, kick it to commercial or to a sideline reporter, and then come back and are like 'and oh by the way, Minnesota won their challenge'. The first few times I noticed this I thought I was making it up but I think I see an instance of each pretty much every night.
  9. Great episode. Conrad is a useless blowhard. Kevin is just useless. If Kevin is smart enough to know Maeve ordered the bombing you have to think Harry is, regardless of what Conrad is saying. I think this may come down to a Maeve/Eddie alliance vs a Harry/Serraphina alliance. How many times has Conrad said 'It's not Harry!'? Definitely makes you think Maeve is going to be pushing the Harry is the rat narrative. Characters that are too dumb to survive: Jan, Kevin, Conrad Characters that are too smart to kill off: Harry, Serraphina, Maeve Maeve and Eddie are so contemptible. That's good casting, writing and acting.
  10. Additional context. Every time my kid played, the seasons I coached and others, he wound up on a team of "randoms". Many/most of the other teams in the league stayed together and moved up together. The coaches all had complex systems that the kids had been running for years. So his teams sucked every year, including the most of the years I coached. Mercied many times. That was a decent part of the reason it was not super fun.
  11. Good luck. I coached basketball for both my son and daughter, baseball (son) and flag football (son). Flag was the worst. Yet somehow I coached 3 separate teams because other parents knew it sucked and no one would step up. My first year was 2nd/3rd coed. It was the only year we had a decent team, yet during one game - a loss, not coincidentally - I counted EIGHT kids on our team that cried. No exaggeration. Only 1 of them was a girl (she cried every week). My tip is coach them to use the sidelines on defense as a defender. Do not be that kid that chases the other team to the sidelines and then allows the ball carrier to cut back. My kid was particularly good at doing that. Everyone wants the ball, everyone wants to play QB, and then when they go 3 and out or throw a pick, they cry. Especially Mary Jo. I'd do it again, though, those are some good and funny memories. Coaching hoops and baseball on the other hand was a blast.
  12. Yeah. The only part that sort of jibes with the show is I'ma hit your business if for momentary blissness. Like you said the rest is just word salad that rhymes. But I also like it. Will Harry go all Lalo Salamanca and single handedly down an army of cartel assassins? I suspect yes. This show is a really fun watch even though you have to suspend a lot of reality. I like the call of Harry turning for the Stevensons. Interesting thought Prepuce.
  13. I thought it was fine. I am not shocked that I read this thread 4 days later and people are complaining about how unrealistic shit in the zombie show is. What I am curious about is if somehow Ellie is passing her immunity to the fetus via rigorous scissoring. (Non video game player)
  14. He's definitely nice. He had some shooting woes last year post ASG that were related to I think a wrist injury and a lot of folks held it against him. He is also one of the top shit talkers in the league, which can be pretty fun. He has guys on absolute skates these days, no one can stay in front of him. If he's hitting from outside he's... Really good.
  15. Scotts weed and feed commercial blonde mom in green shirt would get it.
  16. Shaq with the Richard Dumas shout out. Respect.
  17. My personal preference would be to watch Steph play ball as long as possible but I tend to agree. Wolves are a bad matchup for this team. Six games sounds about right.
  18. If you want me to put something in for you legally on FD feel free to PM me. You can venmo me.
  19. Lol. The Avengers, Senior Citizen Brigade.
  20. Is Paul the guy that Harry targeted who was sleeping with Vron? (would) Saw earlier someone said Eddie had Joffrey vibes - bang. Great analogy. What a little prick. This series is fun.
  21. I know the Thunder are really good and I don't watch them as much as I watch other teams, but -900 is wild. 4-1 more than twice as likely as 4-2. Sweep almost as likely as 4-2. Damn that's some respect.
  22. Wow, Vegas doesn't think much of the nuggets chances.
  23. "RV Harvey" Progressive spot Concept: 8/10 Relevancy to Product: 7/10 Execution: 6/10 This Guy: 14/10
  24. Kerr probably needs to think about sitting the old guys. They ain't coming back.
  25. This series is over.
