Jaws 50th
I recommend this podcast's details surrounding the making of Jaws. i won't spoil it, but I didn't know that Spielberg wasn't the first director. Also, that Robert Shaw came up with the USS Indianapolis story on his own. Cautionary Tales - The Shark that Ate Hollywood HAHA. F me. See above. Don't post when you're eyes are dilated after your annual check up. Lesson learned.

Johntay Cook dismissed from the football team.
My contribution to the film industry is the black and white Astros footage running on the television in the background of Mission Control in 'Apollo 13.' Got to work one morning and found a note in my inbox. When I called them it was a member of Ron Howard's team. Went upstairs and pulled some highlights from a contemporaneous KTRK-13 broadcast. When someone came to pick it up they spotted an old remote broadcast truck in the back parking lot and borrowed it for the scenes outside Jim Lovell's house.

I threw up on Pete Rose outside of Trader Vic's during a Phi Delt rush event. Couldn't keep my second 'Scorpion' down. Met Priscilla Presley last weekend. Almost threw up.

Tech Advice for Solo Office
You are correct. While most of the State Bar resources are adequate, I'm curious if there might be alternative tools or resources — outside the traditional scope for legal types — that others with experience might recommend as business beneficial.

Tech Advice for Solo Office
Need advice on everything from computer monitors to remote/secure storage of client information, or an office number arrangement that will allow me to answer on my cell or forward to office voice mail. I'm especially interested in hearing what hardware/software combinations you have have found successful. Any insights, experiences, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Reducing desk time, staying productive, securely handling client information, and streamlining communications without a traditional support staff. Monitor Setup? Looking for an ultrawide / dual-monitor setup. Software Recs: Manage client files, appointments, and billing securely in one cloud-based location. Secure File Storage: Cloud-based encrypted storage. Encrypted drives? VPN? Communication: A dedicated business number that routes calls seamlessly to my cell or voicemail. Digital dictation tools. Automated email responses and online appointment scheduling (e.g., Calendly) to minimize back-and-forth emails. Thanks.

He also pulled the trigger on Bishop Strickland as bishop of the Diocese of Tyler. Bishop Kelly, the former auxiliary Bishop of Dallas, was then appointed bishop. Kelly is the epitome of a "company man," and a great choice to address that situation. Leave the Gun. Take the Cannoli Kelly Appointed to Diocese of Tyler

Conclave 2025: All of the Smoke, None of the Brisket
It’s still early, but it seems the Church is sending a message to America: if you won’t choose a leader for your nation, we will. Not that all Americans would rally behind Leo XIV, but his words and actions will offer a striking contrast to those of the President.

- Mickey 17 - Pattinson does a Steve Buscemi impression for two hours
I liked it. Pattinson was solid and it was entertaining. Sidebar: First time in my life I've ever watched a pirated movie. Some douchebag in front of the screen kept getting up from his seat. Guess I deserved it for not paying my freight.- 2025 NFL Draft
I heard somewhere - it might have been OTF - that the Broncos are enamored with Blue and might be willing to reach a bit for him to avoid missing out on him when their pick comes around again. That would be a good fit.- Houston Astros 2025 Season Thread
