  1. My first thought, too.
  2. It would take me weeks to shit on every one of those graves, but I'd give it a shot. Better yet, remove the markers, plow the earth flat, and plant the whole cemetery in sunflowers. Harvest the seeds, extract the oil, and send it to the next of kin with an explanation of the source.
  3. While you're recovering, when they come in to talk to you about what they found, just ask the doctor if he found the missing miners. Cracks them up, every time. Or maybe not.
  4. Or you could take your own silverware and keep it in your office. You know that you have, and you know that it's clean.
  5. Monkeys on dogs never fails to crack me up.
  6. Now we're talking. ETA - While we're dreaming, three or four B-52 Arc Light runs along the Russian lines would be wonderful. Either 51 500 lb bombs or 30 1000 lb bombs, dropped in rapid succession along a trench line, would make a lot of Russian women widows.
  7. With MANPADS, it would be a smoking hole in the ground before it opened fire. Nice sentiment, though.
  8. He was the first to know that they'd been hit. Probably saved him from burning to death, if the tank brewded up.
  9. I read that in David Attenborough's voice.
  10. Fuck that puta mom.
  11. Here we see a prime example of what living in College Station will do to one's brain.
  12. So, if I live in Alabama or Georgia and blog about their Nazi activities, how are they going to come get me?
  13. Man, that would fuck up your whole day. Why it's important to check for booby traps, Exhibit A.
  14. Most of the grenades I've seen in videos are small. Their kill zone won't be very big, and as @RDCanecutter said, uneven ground will dissipate a lot of blast and shrapnel. I want to see them dropping 60mm or 82mm HE and WP rounds on those clusterfucks we've been seeing. Those will do some real damage, but may be too heavy for the drones. ETA - Of course the WP rounds are to destroy the weapons and equipment in the area, not targeted on personnel. That would be wrong.
  15. I don't know. I remember in the Gulf War some Iraqis tried to surrender to one of the Navy spotter drones from a battleship, but, there being no one in the area to take them into custody, they went free. I don't know if they were hit again or not.
  16. Flew in, parked the drone on the radome of a $400 million high value target, took off and flew back out, then showed the world the video. That's how you teabag an entire nation. Actually, two nations. Bravo!
  17. From what I've read, the US and some other countries do have modern systems with fuses that can be set by the fire control computer. Anything from an airburst 50 or more feet above the surface to deep penetration feet below the surface. The 2S3 is a Soviet Era design, so all fuse settings are going to be manual. It's a little more advanced than cutting a string or cloth fuse for a muzzle loading cannon, but only by degrees.
  18. Setting the fuse, probably. Large caliber contact fuses can be set to explode immediately upon contact, or to delay the explosion for a few milliseconds to penetrate overhead cover, then explode in the area below. That is very useful for buildings, bunkers, and vehicles. It can also raise hell with tunnels and caves by collapsing them. Contact bursts in forests turn the trees into shrapnel, too, as shown in Band of Brothers when they are at Bastogne.
  19. That's awesome! High five your kid for me, please.
  20. This war is the perfect proof of Napoleon's observation that the moral is to the physical as three is to one. Or, in American, it ain't the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of fight in the dog.
  21. Well, if I would have thought of it...
  22. During Desert Storm an M-1 shot through a sand berm and knocked out a T-72. If the old 105 mm gun could do that, the newer 120 mm damn sure will.
  23. They'll blow up, too. And more easily.
  24. I fall on the side of not wanting China to contribute weapons to Russia, but, if they do, we will get our hands on more valuable equipment and information that we can use against China in the future. It's not in China's best interests to let that happen, but we'll see.
  25. I do not answer my work phone after 30 minutes until quitting time. Call back tomorrow. Thanks.
