  1. Who will protect this mojo dojo casa house?!
  2. Athletics to play at minor league park before Vegas residency - ESPN
  3. Yeah. This dude just goes out there everyday daring them. He's wants to be fired to collect his golden parachute / sue-you retire plan. It's the same idea I faced early in my career when guys would 'get hurt' and go on LTD 2 years before they hit retirement age. It's weird that it always happened almost exactly to the day. What are the chances that the LTD maxed out at 2 years?
  4. Looks like they changed things up with the focus on changeups. To up and change things like that must mean that the pitch selection change was a focus that the higher-ups wanted.
  5. Those cookies were left in the oven too lon……. oh. Yeah, that’s fucked up.
  6. Probably need to sweep this series to hold serve / maintain a a good pole position to win the Big12 reg season.
  7. Correct. UT is also trying to coordinate with TxDOT and COA to get one from ~ MLK to Dean Keaton as a way to Expand the campus / Connect the existing bifurcated state of the campus as it sits now. Although incredibly expensive, is really the only way for the central campus to expand and possibly the last time we have a shot at a contiguous UT. I get goose bumps thinking about how awesome it would be to install a park or intramural fields or parking or tail gating amenities (maybe all of them!) over 35 while opening up current surface parking lots / old Red river alignment / the bubble and whatnot to further campus building or development.
  8. I knew Nebraska was unique in that it had a unicameral legislature. I just assumed they referred to those in it as ‘Representative’ I was today years old when I learned that those who serve in it are called ‘Senator’. That is all.
  9. What does coherence have to with Republican talking points?
  10. Toaster talk not going away....
  11. The repeal of the fairness doctrine would have happened in practice anyway as cable news was really the driver of partisanship in media. The FCC only has authority over public airwaves so I would imagine we'd be in the same place regardless. I don't think the answer is / ever was forcing fairness in ideas. I think the real issue is that while we've democratized voting and information (i.e. the internet), we've enacted incredibly un-democratic $ policy. The trickle down economics / tax cutting / $ = speech has allowed for a relative few to control and manipulate messaging. I'd argue we were always as dumb as this. There just wasn't an ability to have so few controlling the message to persuade the dumbs.
  12. You'd hope they would have dropped aggy when they got that NY times $$$. Mandel is annoying yes. But they do a decent enough job covering the Astros and it's a lot cheaper than a chronicle subscription
  13. You can get an offer for an Athletic subscription for $1 a month for 12 months. The athletic is at least worth that
  14. Hauling a 300 lb behemoth up 3 flights was the real struggle. " But it's a 38" bro!" I worked at Gallery Furniture between semesters my freshman year at UT. Somehow I was able to work in the electronics area bc I was into Plasma TV’s and surround sound systems as one is when you’re 18 year old and have no $, etc and selling furniture was boring to me. Anyhow, I remember selling that 40” Sony which was the largest tube TV at the time and maybe the largest tube tv ever made. My gawd that was fucking heavy. I had to deliver that bastard and of course it was for the second story game room. I think my hands are still deformed to this day from the plastic frame cutting into my hands as we had to carry that thing up the stairs.
  15. I am sad bc I only have one rep to give…
  16. It’s easy to get people to listen when they’re locked down. That truth shit stopped when he realized that truth doesn’t help with ratings when they had to return to real life.
