  1. Especially when they're curly-haired and left-handed.
  2. Extremely late 60s.
  3. The single-point safety. The kick was "blocked" but remained in the field of play. An aggy picked up the ball, still in the field. If he had run it back 90-some yards to the other end zone, it would have been 2 points for aggy. He didn't run it back, he tried to lateral and it was fumbled into his own end zone. If Texas had recovered it, it would have been a two-point conversion(? I think...). But an aggy recovered it, and was down. Because it had been possessed in the field, it was a safety. Because it was an attempted conversion, one point. The only part I find surprising is that it was only one instead of two, when an aggy runback or a Texas recovery would have been two (I think). Last time a safety was an issue for us was the XII refs spending 15 minutes to "justify" not giving Texas two against Bama in '22. That right there is the difference between SEC reffing and XII reffing. The ref diff between Bama '22 and '23 was ... considerable.
  4. Fayetteville is a good place to leave, that's a fact. A couple minutes into the 4th quarter, looking at a three-point lead against a Razorback team that really had no business hanging with us. Do or die time. And we did. Praise Sark, praise Quinn. But more than those, praise PK and Nansen. Anyone who says he wasn't nervous at 13-10 is either a fool, or a liar. Bigger, stronger, faster, deeper, better conditioned. Maybe mostest, though, better coached, better prepared.

    Stan Drayton

Likewise. But I think Drayton would be the mang if Choice gets chosen elsewhere.

No doubt Choice is going to be a fairly hot commodity, and likewise that Drayton would br a perfect replacement. I'm not so sure that the Texas run game has been outstanding enough for Choice to get a decent shot, but it could sure enough happen.
  7. I missed the "real" explanation. Did Venables tell Gabriel to take a hike, or did Gabriel tell Venables to suck it? You sound like someone who's never been to Tojo Nunnally's Coal Yard on a Friday night.
  8. It's closer to "mang" or maybe "main". AI isn't. Well... it is an artifice, but not intelligent. It's a propaganda tag for a conglomeration of hundreds, if not thousands, of programs that inspect parts of The gigantic library of data (which doesn't include everything, not just yet) and format responses. You've already discovered that the structure is incomplete and that it includes erroneous data. The real problem with it is that certain powers believe results are invariably correct, and act on them. GIGO. Caveat emptor. SEC is an entertainment juggernaut, and part of the refs' job is to keep it entertaining. We have been used to XII refs making calls that are - or appear to be - prejudiced against us, for various reasons, many of which were appallingly - sorry, uphaulingly - stupid. Earlier this year, we watched (well, some of us did) SEC refs hand a game to LSU, over South Carolina. Conventional wisdom has been to blame such on incompetence, rather than intent. Sometimes it looks like the W is in the script for the season, and the refs are making sure the outcome goes that way. My first rule of officiating is "Don't call what you don't see" and the second is "Don't try to make up for it, when you blow a call". Third is "Be consistent'. One of the most aggravating reffing things is seeing them call "foul" on something that has no effect on the play or a player. Recently one of the Talking Heads mentioned that a SEC ref had told him they were told, by league office, not to call fouls "away from the play" unless they were really bad. I've noticed that SEC refs tend that way, and that at least some of the coaches begin games by seeing how much they can do without getting called. I always thought Saban was good at that.
  9. Four and a half seconds, total... Seems reasonable.
  10. PUSSY METRICS is actually a pretty decent band name.
  11. I would rep this 100 times, if I could. I'm guessing summa y'all have never in your sweet life had some motherfucker six inches shorter and fifty pounds lighter than you launch himself at you, land half a dozen punches before you could even react, and found yourself on your ass in the dirt with blood running down your face and half your bottom lip hanging on your chin. It's happened to me, and I ain't ashamed. I learned. That message from Valmy makes me think it mighta happened to him, and he learned. I'm just sayin', it might not happen this time, but if it does, don't be surprised, and be ready to get back up and kick that little fucker's ass.
  12. tu Mami
  13. +rep : Decent scan, would be a strong first line for a song. NOTE: wedding to be officiated by ship's Captain.
  14. Best advice here is exactly the same thing that I said after reading #1. Uber Black. Sorry your wife doesn't drive, or alternatively the "shower" is going to involve mass quantities of alcoholic beverages or D9 gummies and she's gonna need a ride. I mean, if it was my problem, I'd already be in the doghouse for giving my wife shit when she seriously asked for such a "favor" for a Saturday afternoon in November, when she should know perfectly well I would be planning an all-day drinking session. You might also want to point out to her that anyone who is dumb enough to plan a wedding "shower" on Thanksgiving weekend is likely to be someone with whom you really have little in common and would be best avoided for the remainder of your marriage. More than you wanted, no doubt, but the very idea caused a serious reaction over a goodly portion of Surly. Oh, and one more time: Uber. Black.
  15. Just got back from the pees conference, prolly.
  16. Better yet, at AFD you go 24 on and 48 off. Even better, you have Kelly Days, where you skip a day on, so you have five consecutive days off. Kellys have some weird scheduling but I'll bet there's a Surly who can tell you what it is. Seems like a lot of firefighters get a side gig of their own going, since they have that extra time off.
  17. Coach Potatohead. Oh boy sums it up nicely. I have a mild - extremely mild - desire to see at least a little bit of it. Hopefully, I'll forget and punch up Archer reruns instead.
  18. Highly unlikely. What are the odds?
  19. Your mind is not Right.
  20. Who's got a clip of the aggy-nebby game where an aggy player has a handful of a nebby player's scrotum, doing his level best to rip it off... the nebby guy is buried face down in a pile, and starts kicking wildly, trying to save his nuts... and the ref calls penalty on husker. Pelini goes apeshit on the sideline, and refs throw a flag on him. Nebby winds up with 30 yards of penalties as a result of their player nearly receiving a non-surgical castration. One of the better vids from a game where Horn fans devoutly pray for asteroids. Would serve as a reminder of aggy perfidy. C'mon, guys... who's got it?
  21. Only bet I see here is that the bookies who read this thread are salivating non-stop. Keep bringing the lulz, and getcher wallets out.
  22. As much as I like what Sark is doing, he already showed us once that he didn't fucking get it. Summa y'all got the same problem, and I feel the call of duty to make whatever pathetic attempts I can to help you get your mind right. I sincerely hope that the Light of Darkness has been revealed to you, because - and I promise you this is Truth - those pathetic sistercousinwife fucking morons will do their utmost to fuck us in every orifice we have or can imagine having. Nothing in their miserable meth-gobbling lives could possibly make life worthwhile to them than waylaying our arrogant burnt orange asses on the way to our first SEC Championship in our first SEC season. They couldn't care less about SECSECSEC, they only and always care about shitting on Texas. Charlie didn't get it. Sark didn't get it. And if you don't get it, you're fucked. Get your mind right... time is getting short. Hook'em
  23. Replace "Roku" with "Fire Stick" and I'm right there with you.
  24. That's why you never use Mackrel Whip.
  25. Funny thing - was just talking with a friend about that exact injury-prone QB scenario.
