This is his chance to prove that he's on LeBron's level. For the first time in a long while, he's on a team where if he doesn't play well, they lose. Period. Heck, even a few bad plays, and they lose. It's all on him. LeBron has dealt with that game-to-game pressure for all but ~3 years of his career. We'll see how KD handles it.

Durant is nowhere close to Lebron. He never will be. He's desperately waiting until Curry comes back so he can go back to piggy backing on his play and success. It is why he went there in the first place. To just blend in to get some rings since that was never going to happen being one of the main guys.

you forgot to call him a bitch.

Your idea of the way that professional athletes operate and think is frighteningly childish. I’ve said it before, but there is literally no difference in the way you think/see the world and the way that a 13 year-old thinks/sees the world. And you’re 35. It’s embarrasing.

Vic thinks all fuckidy and such. KD left OKC because Russ is a dumb basketball player and he wanted to play with someone who is looking to better themselves. Russ is one of the few uber talented basketball players who hasn't improved his game at all. He seems like the kind of guy who absolutely isn't open to feedback either.

Vic then goes out and dusts off his Lebron 2011 card by saying he just wants to ride the coat tails of others. How did that work out for you?

Also, the Grizzlies winning today secures the best lottery odds for the Suns.

Suns could have 3 first rounders - their own (which will be top 5), the Heat (thanks to Goran Dragic), and the Bucks (but only if the Bucks land between 11-16 - kind of a weird lottery protection).

If they can get Ayton & SGA to pair with Booker and Josh Jackson...well, they'll still be bad for the next couple years, but maybe in a few they'll be interesting.

They will find a way to fuck it up.   They are one of the worst managed teams in the league.

Thunder need a win or need Minny or Denver to lose tonight.  Minny has the grizz and nuggets have the blazers.  If either team loses then the thunder are in a position where they can lose against miami tonight but they will need that same team to lose against the other when minny and denver square off to end the season.  That last game of the year could have implications for 3-5 teams on who gets in, not just where seeding happens.

This has been a great year for the NBA as a whole with the story lines and the play.  Absolutely a great year.

thunder/heat, blazers/nuggets and pelicans/clippers are all big playoff positioning battles tonight.

and the cavs, spurs, bucks and wolves all have games they should win to improve their playoff odds/positioning.

and then bulls/nets is a big tankapalooza positioning battle as well.

Westbrook has a triple-double with a minute left in the third. Let's see if he can get a win to go along with it.

i'd guess he's more concerned with his rebounding total.  he came into the night needing 34 over his last 2 games in order to average a triple double again.

2 ridiculous halves. First half, thunder play no defense and they look awful except for the 3s they were hitting. Second half, thunder play D (especially in the 4th) and the lock down the heat and win by 20.

The thunder have great defense when they play it. Postseason is going to be fun.

I think the guys who have the worst deal in this whole tanking thing are the team announcers. They're required to attend and watch all the games featuring these purposely awful teams, and they can't even express openly that the losses are good for the team in the long run.
