there's so much to unpack from today, so i'll just start listing them. tuesday was devastating for oakland, today was twice as devastating for the yankees.  they had just started to play better.

The boy and I were at the last ALCS clincher - we were walking on air for days after Altuve’s walkoff. Today, the boy is 5,000 miles and 7 hours away, with no way to watch. So we did a video chat, w

  • Enjoy it. Old Altuve, no more Correa means this is the very end of the road for your tainted dynasty.

It would be so dusty to pitch him in a loss

Like the loss Monday when Graveman and Pressly fucked the game up?

Cmon man. Nobody bitched about that because it was the right move. Nobody here is unreasonable or engaged in 20/20 hindsight.

Be nice if Altuve could stop getting under everything and hitting easy pops to LF.

Trying too hard...

but it's worked so many times in the past.

Brantley's image in Dusty's head...

Let's walk it off

Damn, Meyers is so fast. LF didn't even think about making a throw.

Didn't stop Benintendi from hosing McCormick last week.

No reason Pressly should not be brought out for another inning here.

Can't use Graveman in the 10th if you don't use Javier in the 7th.

Lets see how we can fuck this up

Way to get that out at 1st lulz

Lulz at the pitcher completing the out at 1b.

that was so dumb that for a split second I thought there was some obscure rule I wasn't aware of to keep the runner from scoring

This game was extremely irritating and awful and then incredibly gratifying. Hopefully this is a spark that ends our August malaise and gets us on a hot streak.

The Yin to Sunday's Yang.

good decision by Lopez to hold Bregman because he would've been out by five feet.

Probably in a minor panic from ball bouncing off him, just revert to auto-pilot mode.

Very close. But we did have control of this game before fucking it up when the M’s didn’t. But yeah, pretty much 180 degrees apart emotionally.

Not a fan of Breg's black cleats.

Maybe they support the hammies?

Dusty creates unnecessary drama with his dubious decisions.

Like PH with Brantley? Or keeping Graveman/Pressly in his pocket for the end of the game?

More speaking of how in both games we managed to hold visiting team scoreless in the 10th and then get multiple men on with no outs. This time we put the ball in play.

If they supported his quads I might give them a pass...

The Dusty shit is tired. He gave Lance a chance to get out of that inning when he was at 100+ pitches and McCullers unfortunately walked both the 8 and 9 hitters. Javier can get one out, he has the stuff. He just grooved one first and then got the out.

After we win the World Series, you can count me as on board the Dusty train.

I think we can all agree on this: Watching Jake Meyers ball out is more exciting than Myles Straw.
