Lol they didn’t learn their lesson the first corner, let him move through just as easy the 2nd try.

That’s embarassing for turkey.

Pretty impressive from Bale both times

Yeah Bale was MOTM despite the Mulligan.

Fantastic game for him. He was directing traffic the whole game.

Yep.  Unfortunate miss on the PK, but he pretty much created every chance Wales had.  Phenomenal performance.

Well, if they don't get out of the group they still have Istanbul.

It'll always be Byzantium to me

TMBG, hollah!

But seriously, if Istanbul or Constantinople ain't your bag, there's always Byzantium.

Damn you, @Trey3216.

Rooting for Schweiz

Considering my Dad's entire family hails from Italy, and we still have a ton of family there, they're always my #2 to the USMNT.

Everything about that was pretty damn solid

Some awful defending from Turkey and Switzerland today.

Reminds me of youth club soccer tournament games between teams that shouldn't be in the same bracket.

The defense was kind of weak.

Holy Crap this twitter follow is freaking hilarious

Italy is absolutely bossing this.

The Swiss are going to have to play a lot faster and more imaginatively if they hope to crack that backline.

Swiss cheese, you might say.

Italy and France are on another level of play compared to the field. As good as France looked against Germany, I’d have a hard time picking against this Italy squad in any match. By far and away, the most entertaining Italian side that I can remember.

I really enjoy when a national team completes a generational turnover.  Italy it seems has done that.

Bonucci and Chiellini are the only dudes on the roster with more than 50 caps

Verratti doesn't have 50 yet?  That surprises me.

They're showing a mostly classic Italian defense with a classic German-esque midfield/counter attack precision.  That's a dangerous combo.

At least The Swiss can say they are more competent in certain ways because The Vatican has them, rather than Italians, guarding the Pope.

I root for the Swiss because I've always liked Shaqiri. He's been underwhelming lately, and Rodriguez has been awful. This feels like a 3-0 loss.

Just remember that, no matter how much you like Shaqiri, you will never be more than his No.2 fan.

I see these two teams want to bring back the roll around in pain like they were shot soccer style of what was mostly the past
