Texas is just a cautionary tale here. Other schools can win shit with the same amount of money or even less money. We cannot win with our money. This is a good teaching moment for students. Sometimes throwing a lot of money won’t fix the problem. Especially when the people throwing out the money cannot figure out that they don’t need to be in the room when coaching decisions are made. But hey our BMDs gonna BMD. Not for nothing but if I was a big money donor I’d get sick of all the wealthy dudes from other schools who have won MNCs in the last 19 years calling my school soft and a joke behind my back. But maybe our big money donors like that? They must like it or like Jerruh Jones they only care they get to pick the HC. In short they must only care about winning if it’s winning with their handpicked science experiment.

You understand it's been like that at Texas for the entire existence of the football program, right? We're like Michigan that way.

He should just make Neal brown the play caller at this point

Eh really just since Delia’s became AD and shifted focus to money and politics

Do whatever it takes to hire Lanning. Yes, Oregon has some tremendous advantages that come along with Nike/Knight, but they also have inherent disadvantages given Oregon is a low blue-chip recruiting producing state, Eugene is in the middle of nowhere, and no one OOS really wants to go live/work in Oregon after their football career is over.

Lanning needs to be the next hire.

The BMDs were also responsible for Tom Herman. And Franklin was a much better hire at the time than Tom. We all know who they have picked in the last 30 years. Save Charlie but a clusterfuck of stuff happened there including picking that fraud of an AD. And they kinda have some fingerprints on that too. It’s widely written about and known state wide the influence they wield and while I appreciate their support and all they do to get players I think they don’t know what the fuck they are doing picking HCs until they prove otherwise. Particularly since the Mack and Sally days

Herman was the hot hire and LSU had said they were going after him full speed ahead. Texas couldn't allow that and blew out the big cigars for cash and got him. LSU kept Orgeron and settled for a consolation of an undefeated season under Joe Burrow and a National Championship. This included a win over Texas in Austin in an exciting shootout.

I still can't believe Keaontay Ingram dropped that pass.

Last season’s otherworldly defense saved us in at least 2-3 wins last seasons. It was expected that they would come back to earth somewhat this season, and they have. But the offense has gotten much worse this season and the defense cannot make up the slack. We’re not forcing nearly as many turnovers or forcing negative plays that give us shorter fields like we did last season.

Sark clearly spent the offseason miscalculating he had a better offense than he did and it could not be clearer how off he was. Wisner may be hurt, but he looked awful out there today. Baxter is made of glass, so not sure why he was banked on to be healthy this season.  I’m not sure even Bijan could make anything behind this OL, a group that has gone from serviceable (at best) last season to downright horrendous this season.

Sark has proven to be a meathead that is unwilling and/or unable to make the necessary adjustments when things aren’t working. There is nothing he has shown that makes me believe this shitshow will turn around at all this season.

The other shoe will drop once we get smoked next week and then the recruits start to abandon ship and talented backups start looking for new homes.  This is by far the most disappointing season I have ever had as a Longhorn fan and I fear the worst is yet to come.

I still can’t believe that Connor Stroh ever saw a snap in any game that wasn’t a UT blowout of a directional school. Don’t even get me started about actually starting him in any game… ever.

I am sure that he’s a wonderful guy who bleeds burnt orange, but that doesn’t mean much when the ball is snapped.

Sark is garbage. I look forward to another coaching search in a couple years

Nonsense.

He was on the cover of Texas Football.  The ghost of Dave Campbell knows stuff or he wouldn’t have put Sark on the cover.

Bullshit. Bijan would have 600 yards at this point on this schedule.

You clearly haven’t watched this team this season. I’ll have whatever you’re drinking though.
