Texas Women’s Basketball 2022-2023: Get on board or get out the damn way

Just burn the tape. Now we have to win in Norman

I no longer have any sympathy for Kyndall Hunter. You stole a scholarship we needed for a shooter or just another guard.

Injuries happen. Vic knows this. Letting her steal a scholarship from Texas was mismanagement. He’s too loyal sometimes.

These last few games are a microcosm of Iowa State. They're good when they hit 3s and they aren't good when they don't.

Unfortunately, we're playing them when they're hitting 3s.

Live by it, die by it. It’s going in tonight, but we could do a better job not leaving shooters open

Shorthanded Texas falls to ISU in Ames, 66-61. Vic’s first loss to ISU at Texas

3 Big 12 losses, all on the road - 4, 4 and 5 points

Abysmal FT shooting again. 5-12. Seriously, hit half those misses and make a 3 and maybe we win. The FT shooting is a big concern, we won’t get far in the tournament with that

Rori had 19 and Jak had 10. ISU had 4 double digit scorers. Really letdown by Holle and Shaylee tonight. Tentative and not willing to shoot it

Big12 will come down to that game in Norman. OU has only dropped 1 home game all year so they're the favorites now.

Ou still has to go to Lawrence and Stillwater. Not so fast. But we can make it all moot if we win in Norman. Almost 2 more weeks for Sonya to rest

Our non-shooting guards only took 12 shots combined.

Harmon kept passing to them and they just passed it back and Rori had to put it up.

We recruited Shaylee to score. She needs to score. She’s not going to get yanked

Vic’s update on Sonya today:

”She’s listed as day-to-day but didn’t practice yesterday. We want her back, but it’s going to take some time.”

Thanks for the update.

Dammit!

Not that much time left in the season. Thigh contusions that bad or something else I wonder?

Texas and OU tied at 11-3, 2.5 games ahead of ISU and OSU, who both have trap games today - ISU @ Baylor and OSU @ Tech.

OU plays KU tomorrow. Hate cheering for KU, but damn, go Jayhawks tomorrow

Moderate to severe thigh contusions can take 4-6 weeks. Blah, seems unlikely we will have Morris back by next Saturday in Norman and maybe not even the following Monday against Baylor. Morris had 9 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists against OU and 13 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists against Baylor.
