Worst weekend of the Mike White era. By far. Worse than Clearwater last year

In Friday's AAS, MW stated that an opponent's offense will excel but the team has to battle back.   Said he was most disappointed in scoring only 1 run.

MW will always substitute offense for defense even after 1 game.   Cimusz makes that play and doesn't make the error Day did on Friday.

Positive:   Citaly is a warrior.

Texas freshman Citlaly Gutierrez threw a no-hitter in Sunday's 22-0 win over Texas Southern. Gutierrez struck out nine batters without a walk and came within a passed ball of a perfect game.

Asking a MW team to hold someone scoreless is not gonna happen.  Bats have really been shit this series.

last week (really two weeks ago) I thought our team had it.  This week I don't think we have it.  We just love going to some fucking SEC school for a super.

Baylor fucking us up may have given them a regional hosting site.

Small chance they may have jumped into the top 16.

OU up 5-0 so we will be the two seed if they hold

Kailey Wyckoff, Catcher, Texas Tech,  .401 avg (best for freshmen)

Above link (which is somewhat hidden on B12 site) has complete list.

That’s fair. I think Goode fell off a bit and that’s why. Or she would have won it

They should not be scheduling any outdoor sporting events in Oklahoma in mid-May. It storms every year. Our arts festival is this weekend and it storms each year without exception. Next week is the start of a softball league I manage. Our first week has rained out each of the last 4 years. Every. Single. Year.

Fair.

It's super rare the WCWS goes on without any weather delays.  So dumb.

Early June is usually fine (or at least just as unpredictable as most of the summer). It's the middle two weeks in May, predictable as hell that storms will be all over the state. It's a running joke around here. "Mayfest is this weekend, make sure the basement is clean."

It was a weather delay that caused the OSU-Texas deciding semifinal game to last until midnight

And in 2021, a game ended at 2:15am

We’re probably losing our home regional. Team is mentally lost at the plate, and our pitching staff/defense will give up a few runs each game. Guess we peaked too early

We won’t fall out of the top 16. But we’ll end up in the 12-16 range, which you never want.
