One of the largest payouts on a parlay bet ever reported by a U.S. sportsbook -- $5.5 million -- came down to the final seconds and a game-winning drive authored by Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud.

A bettor in Florida won $5.5 million on a $500,000 four-leg NFL parlay with the newly re-opened Hard Rock sportsbook, when Texans kicker Matt Ammendola hit a 38-yard field goal on the final play to lift Houston to a 30-27 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

The four legs of the same-game parlay were:

• The Houston Texans to beat the Cincinnati Bengals

• The Texans-Bengals to go over 44.5 points

• Texans running back Devin Singletary to score a touchdown

• Singletary to go over 51.5 rushing yards

They all hit, as the underdog Texans upset the Bengals. Singletary rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown, and Stroud completed 3 of 4 passes to get Houston into field goal position on the final drive.

"Who else cooked us?" Hard Rock sportsbook's account posted on X, formerly Twitter, noting the big parlay payout.

Hard Rock's online sportsbook in Florida had been closed for two years, while a legal battle played out all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Since re-opening last Tuesday, a source familiar with the action said million-dollar bets have not been uncommon.

Sorry, Atl fans.

One step closer to getting Arthur Smith fired for Atlanta fans.  He was letting top-10 picks go severely underutilized even before Bijan (Pitts and London).  I'd like to believe he finally realized what Bijan could do with more touches (don't need to necessarily make him a workhorse like prime Emmit Smith), but he's probably just doing it because enough people yelled at him behind the scenes and he's out of options.  Lose enough to get him fired this offseason and hire someone who will actively look to utilize Bijan, Pitts, and London on a regular basis.

I guess bc I’m mostly apathetic I will pull for the Raiders. The Jets OLine is horrendous. It’s easy to blame it all on Wilson but I am not sure many QBs would be doing much better. I’d be very pissed off if I’m on their defense. They keep their opponents under 25 points routinely and can’t get shit happening on offense. Rodgers would surely score more but it’s a mess. A painful mess. To his credit Wilson keeps trying. They are pretty much like fuck it we know you don’t have a lot of time to do anything but we don’t care.
