I guess. Just a different mentality, I wonder how much tix cost. Hard for me to think of much that’d keep me away from a September evening at the Rose Bowl, UCLA should market it like the Cubs do Wrigley.

It is Wrigley for traveling college football fans. They will have a sellout when Penn State and Nebraska come to town. They really need a smaller on-campus stadium but there's no room and it would cost way too much. It's like Rice playing at their giant stadium. I think it's true of most California schools that people just tend to not care. Stanford and Cal rarely sell out significantly smaller stadiums. Only USC gets close and that's more that they got the moniker of LA's football team until the Rams came back. The USC vs. UCLA crowd is definitely more "t-shirt" on the USC side and why not, they were the team of the 00s.

I just saw the score of the New Mexico game. Holy shit. Poor Foster seems to be horribly ill suited for this job, I can’t imagine he lasts the season.

He shouldn’t last the rest of the day.  More importantly, AD Jarmond can’t be responsible for the next hire.

This might be worse than us losing to Kansas Charlie’s last season and Sarks first season.

It’s the first time a team favored by 15 lost by 25 in CFB history, so yes, it’s worse.  It’s the worst.

From Gameday

And if you've rented a car at LAX you know this is damn accurate

I bought a ticket for $8 and sat at the 45.

Nmsu beat asu 35 to 7 in 1999. I don't recall the spread but it had to be more than 15.

Yeah it must really suck to get blown out at home when you're a favorite.  Not that I've ever seen Texas do that, but I definitely feel for you ...

Guessing that spread data only went back to a certain year.

Is there anyone at UCLA worth a damn when they portal?

They have the #6 national prospect from the 2023 recruiting class. Texas should take a flier on him.

Look at their roster at the Polynesian names not named Nico, and in the trenches or LB.

Foster was hired to fail and was dumb enough to take that job.

One of my neighbors is a former ucla player and doesn’t have one good word to say about Jarmond. Said he has alienated a lot of supporters by being a world-class douche.

Better or worse than when USC lost to 40 point dog Stanford?

ps usc is also located in Los Angeles, in case coach foster hasn’t mentioned that.

This.

UCLA lost to a state agricultural college. One from New Mexico. At home. When heavily favored. By 25 points. And it wasn't that close.

It was absolutely worse.

Think of Texas losing by 25 at DKR to West Virginia Agricultural College of Meth and Weed.

Found a story that said it was 26, so UCLA is off the hook.

Word from Bruin insider

Spoiler

there is an effort among influential people to actually do something that could lead to significant change.

It’s still in its formative stages.

And I’m not saying it’s absolutely for certain it’s going to happen.

But the message I received is that some things are potentially developing.

And I was told the “noise” of displeasure from UCLA fans is critical.
