He broke out that stupid AI shit on Steph Curry's swing in the middle of Steph carrying them in their Break 50 video. Steph gave the textbook "uh, yeah, that's cool, man" eye roll response.

Even Bryson's camera guys were like "um, just ignore that shit."

Spieth and Scheffler paired together today in the first round of the Hero.

Golfweek has an article on Spieth working on his swing (again).  Seems like Spieth has said the same thing in every interview for the last 8 or 9 years.  Hopefully it will actually work this time.

Jordan working on his swing... again

The golf swing is a crazy animal.  Ever since Tiger and the media made such a huge deal about the best player in the world changing his swing, it became a thing.

Yes you could tell Tiger Woods to "swing this way" and he'd still shoot 68.  99.999% of the rest of the golfing world can't do that.

Spieth also didn't really have a "classic swing"  anyway.  changing what was working made zero sense.  Maybe he'll find it again but I doubt it because once it gets to your head it becomes that much harder.  It's in his head.

He’s beating exactly one guy in the field so it doesn’t seem to be working quite yet.

yeah, Scottie is beating him by 17 strokes on a mickey mouse course...he might get back to a top 25-30 type player but that's it.

Well, considering he's just a YouTube golf influencer now, probably zero.

Don't let him back in. At least for a couple more years. You'll never be able to convince me that the younger, more accomplished guys didn't join LIV with the unspoken expectation that they'd take the payday, then come back to the PGA once LIV failed or their contract ran out, not caring what damage it did to the PGA in the meantime. And I generally like Brooks...but, fuck 'em, someone has to be made the example.

His game was also bad at the time when he left that he said he wasn’t sure if he could be competitive at the top of the PGA tour. Cut at the masters, 55th at the pga, 55th at the us open.

He was dealing with one of his injuries at the time, I think his wrist.

Plus he leveraged a spot for his brother on LIV who got relegated after the first season.

Similar with Bryson, hadn’t had a top 25 at a major in a few years, cut at the masters, dealing with injuries.

At the time it looked like both of them saw LIV as an easy insurance policy if their game really was in decline.

DJ’s game actually was in decline, but I think the mountain of cash and zero pressure accelerated that.

The only guys that were at the top of their game when they left were Cam Smith and Rahm.

The only player that I think hurt themself by leaving was Nieman. I think if he’d have stayed he’d be a top 10 player and legit star.

HV3? Remember him?

I haven’t kept up with the blood money, but IIRC he took his bloody payday in part to benefit his charity work. Guess he’s real big into that in NC.

I’d have to go back and read it again, but it was floating around at the time.

I take that back, Cam smith definitely hurt himself long term by leaving. I was more saying that Nieman hurt his rise. His stock was shooting up, but because he didn’t have the major wins and exemptions that those other guys had, so I think he got conned into believing they’d be getting owgr points for major qualifying.
